What you’ll be doing
Period accounting
Maintain accurate bookkeeping across all three legal entities including reconciliations, journal postings, accruals and prepayments schedule and intercompany recharges.
Manage day-to-day overseas advisers on bookkeeping in their entities and local tax regulations
Own the month-end close for all three legal entities
Own our VAT return process, and oversee other regulatory processes
Reporting & decision support
Own monthly business spend reporting, showing the breakdown of departmental spend vs forecast and providing commentary to explain variances
Assist the Head of Commercial Finance with the preparation of the Consolidated monthly management accounts and reporting to the Exec team
Support the VP Finance and Ops teams with ad hoc analysis to support decision making
Process improvements
Assisting with ad-hoc project-based work and financial analysis as required, for example to manage our cash collection process
Support business teams to deliver business goals, including supporting procurement and payroll
This might be for you if
You have a professional qualification:
Qualified or in the final years of your professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or global equivalent)
You have
3+ years of professional work experience in a start-up or scaling companies, you thrive on the challenge of growing from a series B company and beyond.
Prior ownership of month-end close in a single entity (multiple entity ideally) business
Hands-on experience using Xero
You might also have
Background in a SaaS company
Hands-on experience of Salesforce, Pleo, Brex
Experience dealing in international accounting standards and cross-entity, cross-regional transactions
