The Role

Unibuddy has experienced explosive growth since launching in 2017. We now work with 600 higher ed institutions in 35 countries worldwide. We’ve raised over $33M from top-tier investors, and we’re on course to achieve our ambitious goal of empowering 10 million students to make the right choices in their higher ed journey.

In the next chapter, we’re taking a huge step forward. We're transforming our offering with our newest product, Unibuddy Community. Community is an official, safe space for students to communicate in a group messaging platform, no matter where they are in their higher ed journey.

Here’s where you come in

We’re looking for an experienced Engagement Specialist to onboard, train and support our growing customer base for our recently launched student group chat product “Community”. You will join a global Customer Success team and be part of the Onboarding function that is highly collaborative, creative and impact-driven. You will report directly to the Support & Onboarding Lead.

As a Customer Engagement Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert for the Unibuddy Community product and manage the implementation process for customers from start to finish. You will provide hands-on support to directly assist with the creation, promotion and ongoing management of student communities.

Your day-to-day

  • Work with customers to build, promote and manage highly engaging student communities
  • Serve as a product expert for Community and ensure strong product adoption across all partners and relevant stakeholders
  • Develop tailored training programmes to upskill staff and student ambassadors
  • Create mutual action plans to measure performance for the Community product and demonstrate ROI
  • Provide ongoing technical support to our global Community customers
  • Design and deliver a series of product best practice sessions for Community
  • Monitor conversational trends and produce tailored reports on student insights
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to raise any issues identified

This might be for you if…

  • You have experience in a previous role with tech product adoption or product implementation
  • You are analytical and comfortable working with product data
  • You are customer-facing and skilled at building impactful customer relationships
  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy finding creative ways to engage customers and boost product adoption
  • You are a proven self-starter and show strong initiative
  • You are self-motivated, hard-working and coachable
  • You are passionate about student engagement and student wellbeing
  • You feel at home in a high-growth environment where we don't know all the answers but you have the opportunity to learn and grow quickly

It’s a bonus if:

  • You are familiar with video recording and CRM tools such as Intercom and Loom
  • You have webinar hosting experience and have created webinar content in previous roles
  • You haved worked in Higher Education or in a marketing role
  • You have experience in a previous role with product enablement or product implementation

We know that typically females and underrepresented groups only apply to jobs if they see themselves ticking every box. We believe we’re more than boxes to tick. If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role or others, please apply anyway. We're always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.
