TUI Group is the world’s number one integrated tourism business. Within TUI Group, TUI Airline regroups all airline activities across UK, Nordics, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Morocco, France, and the Dutch Antilles. This rostering function sits in Manpower and Crew Planning within our airline organisation and is responsible for the planning and implementation of our Cabin Crew Training.

Joining TUI Airways as a Cabin Crew Training Executive (as you will be known internally), you will become part of the team responsible for the planning, rostering & operational delivery of the Cabin Crew Training for TUI Airways. You will utilise resources as efficiently as possible whilst ensuring flying requirements comply with legal & industrial agreements and that budgetary restrictions are met.

Please note this role sits within Manpower and Crew Planning and is focussed on the future planning and scheduling of compliant Cabin Crew training programmes to ensure no disruption to the flying programme. The role does not deliver training to our Cabin Crew population.

We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model with regular presence in the office (average 2 - 3 days per week, which can increase around roster publication time)

In this role, you’ll report to the Cabin Crew Training Team Leader.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Cabin Crew Training Executive, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Utilising the Airline Rostering Systems produce timely, legally compliant crew rosters in accordance with Scheduling Agreements, Airline Regulator and Airline FTL Schemes
  • The rostering of Cabin Crew training duties – SEPs, Conference, SNY flight and other ground and flight training activities as specified, including ECP providers
  • The rostering of Cabin Crew conversion training courses as per the Training Plan. Optimises the use of Trainers, students and associated resources where possible to gain efficiencies to deliver the training plan on target
  • Preparing training data within rostering systems in preparation for automatic rostering
  • All appropriate communication with regard to rostered activity
  • Ensuring all pre-assigned activity as required to complete the overall production of crew rosters is appropriately rostered within agreed guidelines and timescales
  • Contributing to the supplier management appraisals and reviews of all Training Suppliers
  • Completing legality and quality checks on all crew rosters against defined parameters ensuring departmental output is correct and appropriate for business needs. Specifically performing quality analysis on training activities assigned by rostering systems
  • Completing legality and quality checks prior to roster publication, undertake travel alignment and publishing final rosters to crew
  • Interpreting scheduling agreements, suggesting changes and identifying opportunities for improving utilisation and reducing overall establishment. Providing input to relevant business improvement initiative and trade union debate
  • Supporting the implementation of systems changes through input to the following – specification of requirements, testing, training and implementation into live window
  • Maintaining relevant sections in the departmental handbook and completing departmental audits to demonstrate individual and departmental compliance in line with the departmental audit scheme
  • Undertaking departmental training to meet legal FTL requirements and other training needs as identified by departmental managers
  • Participating in meetings and workshops as necessary to continue to drive operational efficiency
  • Any other tasks as detailed by the Cabin Crew Training Team Leader

ABOUT YOU

  • IT literate with a minimum of O’ Level/GCSE education or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven experience within an airline Crewing/Rostering environment is desired
  • Previous experience in a customer service-based role
  • Understanding of airline legal agreements would be preferable
  • Process and detail orientated with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure; assimilate information, determine priorities, and make decisions based on sound judgement
  • Strong inter-personal and excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • An enthusiastic ambassador of change who makes suggestions for improvement
  • An Individual with the drive and ambition to better themselves and an effective change agent
