Revenue Manager | First Choice

Job Description

As a Revenue Manager, you’ll lead the team responsible for pricing First Choice Product, balancing margin, sales targets, and customer satisfaction. Your analytical abilities will be essential as you introduce pricing tools and establish KPIs from a variety of data sources. Your oversight of product range trading will emphasize margin optimization, allowing you to increase revenue and drive conversions. Collaborating closely with our marketing and merchandising teams will ensure a maximised ROI and the seamless integration of key products throughout the user journey. Your partnership with the Senior Commercial Manager will contribute to the evolution of our pricing strategy, moving towards a dynamic, component-based approach, informed by competitive insights. To facilitate the growth of the business you will need to build the capabilities and resources of your team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Lead efforts to achieve margin and sales targets for our First Choice Product, balancing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement advanced tools and processes to set competitive initial pricing for our new First Choice Product.
  • Harness data from various sources to establish customer-centric KPIs that guide our future trading decisions, always staying one step ahead of market trends.
  • Oversee the trading performance of our product range, finding ways to enhance margins for increased revenue or conversion rates.
  • Collaborate closely with our dynamic marketing and brand teams to discover opportunities that maximize the return on investment for our campaigns.
  • Partner with our Merchandising teams to ensure our key products are well-placed across the entire user journey, from site arrival to search results.
  • Work closely with the Senior Commercial Manager to refine our pricing strategy from package-level pricing to more flexible and dynamic component-based pricing.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and develop models that influence our strategic trading decisions.
  • Monitor sales, demand, and availability, collaborating with the Product team to ensure supply aligns with strong performance.
  • Embrace a culture of continuous testing and learning, applying emerging pricing practices and quantifying their impact on sales, conversion, and margin.
  • Identify and test value-focused messaging that empowers customers to discover the best deals while boosting conversion rates.
  • Craft offers that drive traffic and conversions, all while preserving the integrity of our margins.

  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen, with a knack for analysing data to discern customer needs and assess commercial viability, enabling informed decision-making.
  • An inquisitive nature that drives you to continually seek new knowledge and trial innovative approaches within the ever-evolving travel industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, combined with a flexible approach that adapts seamlessly to the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of the travel industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills, coupled with clear and compelling communication and presentation abilities to convey insights effectively.
  • A wide-ranging knowledge of travel products spanning various countries and destinations, reflecting your passion for and expertise in the travel sector.
  • A strategic thinker capable of seeing beyond immediate actions, focusing on long-term impacts, and charting a course toward our future success.
  • An ability to understand complex problems, along with the skill to identify and articulate a range of proposed solutions, ensuring we navigate challenges effectively.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in driving, managing, and championing change, as innovation is a cornerstone of our company culture.
