Job Description

Reporting to the AOC Accountable Manager, the Quality/Compliance Manager will ensure that the activities of the operator are monitored for compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, and any additional requirements as established by the operator, and that these activities are being carried out properly to ensure safe operational practices and airworthy aircraft.

As Quality/Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the compliance monitoring programme is properly implemented, maintained and continually reviewed and improved. You will be responsible for the systematic, objective and independent monitoring and control of the operational and technical procedures within TUI fly. In your functional reporting line you have autonomous and direct access to the AOC Accountable Manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will ensure that the Compliance Monitoring/Quality Assurance Program is properly established, implemented and maintained. You will ensure the duties and responsibilities associated with the management and supervision of Quality and Compliance Monitoring including the compliance and audit program to maintain the company’s AOC;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will lead and coordinate the Quality/Compliance department, including the development of goals, objectives, values and personnel of the department to ensure that the airline meets all regulatory requirements and continuously improves on Quality and Compliance Management;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will ensure that all Quality and Compliance aspects of the airline’s Compliance and Safety Management System (CSMS) are functioning effectively so that compliance shortcomings or risks are identified, understood, mitigated and prevented. You will develop and continuously improve the CSMS to respond to changes within the internal and external context influencing the compliance of airline operations;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will also be responsible for providing the airline Safety Review Board (Nominated Persons and Accountable Manager) with direction and supporting them on all aspects of the airline CSMS. You will be member of the SRB and deliver statistical and factual data for the CSMS dashboard. In addition to the SRB you will periodically inform the Accountable Manager on the status of the airline CSMS progress and findings of the audit programme as well as on the status of the outstanding corrective actions;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will develop and promote the airline CSMS to support the development of a pro-active risk aware compliance and safety culture, and to establish a clear expectation for compliance management across the airline at all levels and for all activities;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will coordinate the audit program and ensure sufficient competent auditors to complete the annual audit plan. You will also perform audits yourself;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining contacts with, and consulting, third parties, such as TUI Group airlines, NAA’s, maintenance companies and / or other airlines, on all aspects of Quality and Compliance;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will perform mid- and end year reviews with all staff members of the Quality/Compliance department;

  • As Quality/Compliance Manager you will be responsible for the Quality/Compliance department budget.
