Lease Data & Warranty Engineer

Aircraft Asset and Business Management (AABM) is a function within our airline organisation responsible for the asset management and lifecycle cost optimisation of the TUI fleets total lifecycle, from Entry to Service through to End of Lease. The AABM function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As Lease Data & Warranty Engineer you will be responsible to optimize the lifecycle costs for all aircraft in TUI Aviation. You will do this by providing an accurate technical lease data management in relation to the technical requirements and obligations defined in the aircraft lease agreements. You will ensure that all warranties from lease agreements and contracts are handled and reported in an aligned way within the E&M departments.

In this role, you’ll report to the Airframe Lifecycle Manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Lease Data & Warranty Engineer you will manage the Aircraft Lease Agreement data and work closely with the Aircraft Lifecycle Manager. Your main tasks will include:

  • Review and process maintenance activities on airframe and engines to identify potential warranty claims, and opportunities for negotiating commercial support from suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Organise submittal of warranty claims through the OEM warranty portals and be responsible for providing reimbursement status and progress.
  • Lead and implement the tracking and recording of all assigned warranty claims and activities across E&M departments, producing a means for end-to-end warranty claim review.
  • Reporting of monthly KPI’s and management information for all assigned warranty activities within E&M; ensuring accuracy and timeliness of management information so that contractually allowable claims are made before claim periods are exceeded.
  • Liaise between E&M, Supplier Management and Procurement in regards of damage claims, ensuring all engineering input is co-ordinated and progressed, responsible for reporting on costs claimed and open damages.
  • Collection and validation of technical information required to ensure contractually compliant lease agreement obligations, warranty and damage claims, within TUI Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Supporting the maintenance of the Aircraft Asset information database to ensure all information is up to date in the live system. Enabling accurate and single source of truth for contractual warranty definitions.
  • Administration of aircraft lease agreements and adding lease agreements into a Contract Management System including data quality assurance checks required to support the wider airframe lifecycle management team.
  • Lead and support projects and its project reporting as required by the business.

  • Educated to degree level or proven experience, and an analytical thinker able to absorb a large amount of information in a short period of time
  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
