Intern - Front-End Developer (all gender) (Fleet Energy Performance)

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The intern will support the Fleet Energy Performance team in developing innovative solutions for energy optimization and emissions reduction. The role includes significant front-end development responsibilities and integration of advanced AI models to enhance user experience and decision-making.

Front-End Development & AI Integration:

    • Design and implement modern front-end interfaces for energy performance dashboards and AI-driven applications
    • Develop interactive visualizations and compelling data storytelling components for business stakeholders
    • Collaborate closely with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into user-facing tools
    • Ensure seamless data flow between back-end and front-end systems through API integrations
    • Support testing and deployment of AI-powered features in production environments
    • Contribute to iterative development cycles with a focus on scalability and user experience

Innovation & Technical Support:

    • Assist in building and optimizing digital solutions for energy monitoring and emissions analysis
    • Support the continuous improvement of existing analytics tools and dashboards
    • Work with modern development environments and version control systems
    • Contribute ideas for enhancing AI applications and user interaction concepts

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong front-end development skills, particularly in JavaScript and React (or comparable frameworks)
  • Experience working with Git and development environments such as VS Code
  • Solid understanding of data-driven applications and attention to detail
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear and engaging narratives for business stakeholders
  • A curious mindset, quick comprehension skills, and a collaborative team spirit

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with prompt engineering for LLMs
  • Familiarity with AI and data products
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or Power BI
  • Interest in fuel consumption, energy efficiency, and emission

  • Git, VS Code
