Job Description

At TUI, we are committed to delivering exceptional digital experiences to delight our customers and drive business growth. We are seeking an innovative and experienced Head of Digital Experience to lead our team in designing and implementing a unified global digital experience.

TUI is transitioning from local websites to a unified One Selling Platform and Digital Experience across all markets. As the Head of Digital Experience, you will lead the definition of our digital experience and will be a key part of the transformation, working closely with the Global Ecommerce team and local e-commerce teams in our markets. You will leverage insights and iterate on the digital experience to create deliverable designs that support TUI’s broader growth strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Lead a team of 45+ UX/UI designers and researchers.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive digital experience strategy in line with TUI’s global objectives.
  • Work closely with the Global Ecommerce team and market teams to build and iterate the digital experience.
  • Ensure seamless integration of design solutions with product, analytics, and technology teams.
  • Drive user-centered design practices and ensure robust user testing processes.
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end design process, from concept to final visual design.
  • Oversee international adaptations of the One Selling Platform, considering cultural and localization requirements.
  • Foster a high-performing design team and provide mentorship and development opportunities.
  • Set the vision and strategy for TUI’s websites, ensuring alignment with company goals and brand guidelines.
  • Influence and secure buy-in from market and Group Directors on website designs.
  • Engage with Group CMO, CIO, and CDO to present the design vision and gain support.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design practices and processes.
  • Prioritize and manage a 12-18 month planning horizon for design activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

ABOUT YOU

  • 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a proven track record of leading design teams.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating intuitive and visually appealing designs.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to articulate design concepts to stakeholders.
  • Experience in the travel or e-commerce industry is a plus.
  • Highly collaborative, flexible, and pragmatic with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English; other languages (German, French, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian) are a plus.
