We have embarked on an exciting, large scale digital transformation program and are looking for talented and dedicated people to join the TUI Flight Marketplace (TFM) team within the Flight IT Domain. The TFM is TUIs groupwide common platform providing all TUI airline and 3rd party flights, including ancillaries for own and secondary distribution across B2C and B2B channels.

Being part of Team Markets as a Fullstack Software Engineer with Frontend focus you will be an advocate of state-of-the-art software development practices, developing software products with a broad toolkit of technologies and methods.

You will have the possibility to tackle the whole software development cycle of designing, building, testing, and deploying applications. Together with the team you will be working in an agile environment and keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape.

ABOUT THE JOB

• As part of Team Markets you develop and scale TFM flight and flight ancillary products front-to-back
• Coordinate and collaborate on architecture, data integration, and performance and enhance scalability for tourist applications, particularly in flight-related areas
• Develop and implement technically advanced IT solutions driven by market needs
• Lead the maintenance and further development of the frontend e.g. optimized analytics solutions or improve test environments
• Optimize and develop deployment processes with extensive automation
• Participate in global cross-functional teams and drive software development methods within communities of practice.

ABOUT YOU

• Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools and services on AWS (Serverless/ AWS Lambda)
• Backend stack: Golang, optional: Node.js/Express used for a MiddleLayer (REST API)
• Frontend stack: Micro Frontends in Angular 14+, optional: Vue.js, Stencil.js, Jamstack, Eleventy
• Familiar with web design principles for a great UX and basic UI design knowledge
• Extensive experience in Microservices implementation and REST/SOAP API development
• Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI
• Customer-focused and passionate about excellent digital products and services
• Committed to continuous improvement, teamwork and comfortable with ambiguity and high autonomy
• Proficient in agile methodologies (Kanban/Scrum) and open to working in an agile software delivery model
• (nice to have) First experiences DevOps and DataDog
