Finance Manager Controlling | Markets and Airlines

Job Description

As FP&A Manager – Markets & Airlines you will be an integral part of the Group Controlling team, reporting into the Head of Controlling – Markets & Airlines.

This role is pivotal as it acts as an important interface between local Source Markets, M&A and Group. You will play a key role in the Group’s monthly reporting process, consolidating and analysing the monthly Actuals and Forecast information from across the different source markets as well as the preparation of the weekly Markets & Airlines trading dashboard. This will include presentation of the analysis to senior stakeholders within the TUI Group (e.g. Group CFO, Group Executive Committee) It will also support to drive and further develop the yearly planning process and strategic agenda.

In this important role, you will work with an international team and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Group.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead the monthly reporting process, consolidating and analysing all of the Markets & Airlines key financials & KPIs. Summarize and present financial highlights to senior stakeholders (e.g. Group CFO)
  • Engage in the Group’s and Markets & Airlines Budget and 3-year plan process. Consolidate, review and analyze the Markets plans, while business partnering with them to develop a coherent strategic plan.
  • Act as a business partner to the investor relations team for management information on backward & forward looking trading data, delivering key insights and commentaries for quarterly and annual announcements.
  • Track the weekly Markets & Airlines Fuel & FX position. Prepare and present ongoing analysis on fuel & fx exposure to senior stakeholders within the Group. Maintain an excellent working relationship with the Markets & Group Treasury team to ensure that the weekly trends are well understood and communicated
  • Participate in project work in collaboration with other Group finance teams
  • Support the Group / Markets & Airlines segment with ad-hoc questions and financial analyses
  • Produce and further develop the M&A trading stats & dashboards that are shared on a weekly basis with senior internal stakeholders, including the GEC

  • Provide transparency on the relationship between the trading KPIs and the P&L statement.
  • Drive automation projects and ensure efficient interfaces & processes
  • Act as a key interface between Group Controlling, M&A Central Finance and local Markets Finance Departments

  • Manage and oversee the work of team members, provide guidance to meet objectives and empower / further develop team members.

ABOUT YOU

  • 3 years+ relevant experience
  • International mindset & strong communicator
  • Strong analytical skills and be able to deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • High professional skills in translating results into leading edge visuals
  • Open-minded and proactive personality who wants to make change happen
  • Knowledge of finance systems such as HFM (Oracle) and also visualisation tools like Tableau are preferred but not essential
