The Engineering Department of TUI fly Belgium, the only Belgian airline to hold an EASA Part 21 approval, is responsible for the technical maintenance of the fleet. As a result of our strong growth, we are looking for a design engineer to reinforce our Design (Part 21) team within the E&M organisation.

About the Job

Your position will entail responsibility for the following tasks:

  • You will gain experience by providing support to the engineering & design team (Part-21 & Part-M).
  • You will assist in the analysis and follow-up of technical documentation in order to comply with national and international laws and regulations.
  • As a member of our team, you will design modifications for the fleet in line with the design manual and the EASA regulations.
  • In addition to design, you will be responsible for the coordination with external organisations (design, production, testing).
  • You will follow up on the latest developments in the market in order to ensure that the TUI fleet remains competitive.
  • You will be responsible for the coordination with CAMO, P145, OPS with respect to the ‘configuration control’ of the requested modifications.
  • You will make the necessary calculations and drawings to support the design work.

About You

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aviation or (electro)mechanics or have equivalent experience.
  • Some work experience in aviation is a plus!
  • You are prepared to expand your knowledge within engineering & design.
  • You are familiar with AUTOCAD.
  • You are result-oriented and able to cope with stress.
  • Quality and accuracy are your trademarks.
  • You are proficient in English, knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus.
  • You are a team player.
