The Role:

TrueLayer’s Strategy & Corporate FInance team is responsible for facilitating the company's strategy development and translating priorities into objectives and key results (OKRs). The role will be primarily responsible for driving cross-functional programs as part of annual and semi-annual planning as well as ad hoc projects as needed to drive execution. The role is designed to be a high impact individual contributor working across both Strategy & Corporate Finance functions operating as a single team. This role will play a key role in scaling our business and working closely with our executives and leadership team to continuously challenge and set priorities.

As our Strategy & Programme Manager you will:

  • Facilitate company’s strategy development and annual planning while driving cross-functional programs critical to strategy execution
  • Leverage strong program/project management and communication skills to translate strategic objectives to effective execution plans with cross-functional partners.

  • Apply strong business acumen across multiple disciplines to act as a trusted advisor to the business, and provide critical strategic insights/analysis to help them execute their plans

  • Continuously refine the strategy development & annual planning process and methodology while collaborating with teams to sharpen their planning and tracking mechanism to ensure accountability

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across a broad network of cross-functional partners ensuring clear and timely communication to diverse stakeholders

  • Be an ambassador for promoting a result based culture and embedding data-driven ways of working

About you

  • You have significant experience in areas such as strategy, management consulting, operations, project/program management - held roles such as Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Chief of Staff, or Strategic Finance
  • You are comfortable to navigate complexity - ideally you have been part of a rapidly growing, product/tech-led company

  • You are an exceptional problem solver who is highly execution-driven. You enjoy breaking down complex challenges into actionable plans, applying your strategic/big-picture perspective

  • You have excellent communication and relationship building skills to influence/collaborate with colleagues across all levels of the company

  • You are comfortable to work across multiple disciplines including business strategy, finance, product, and commercial, and able to understand contexts that are critical to strategy planning and execution

  • You have a strong affinity for numbers and live by an analytical approach in how you approach problems, plan execution and track impact

  • You are able to deliver ad hoc analytical works that are critical to strategy planning and execution

  • You are comfortable to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously under timelines and shifting priorities

  • You enjoy rolling your sleeves up, and can deliver work under pressure with a keen eye for details

  • You have a natural curiosity, are quick to learn new concepts and are excited to tackle difficult questions
