Seeking a Data Engineer based in Cluj, Romania for 140,000 - 190,000 RON Gross Annually

Under the mentorship of our Head of Innovation & Engineering, collaborate with a mix of experienced and budding professionals, where the focus is on learning, teamwork, and creativity.

If you haven't yet achieved the Certified Google Data Engineer status, we'll support you in getting there!

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of scalable data management systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Support in maintaining ETL processes for seamless data movement across platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of data architecture, with opportunities to learn about database management and infrastructure.
  • Help source data through API integrations and web scraping.
  • Participate in the deployment of data-driven tools like web apps and dashboards.
  • Engage in research activities, exploring new tools and technologies under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data quality and reliability.
  • Work alongside data analysts and scientists, learning the ropes of effective data integration.

Requirements

  • Some experience with data pipelines is appreciated.
  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Exposure to web scraping frameworks like Scrapy, Selenium, etc.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Prefect, Apache Airflow, etc. is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and DBMS such as MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • A foundation in modern coding practices.
  • A degree in a scientific, computational, or mathematical discipline is a plus.
