Job Description

As our Group Accountant, you will be responsible for all the external reporting requirements, including producing the statutory accounts, leading the audit, and supporting the team who look after the VAT and Sales Tax requirements. You will be a qualified accountant, ideally with audit experience. Previous background in a high growth business would be beneficial.

This role and the team are hybrid based out of Telephone House in Shoreditch, London. This role does have in-office expectations because of how we operate as a team and business, and although we’re really open to what those are and how they work, this team does require 2 days a week together in the office.

We regret that we are not open to fully remote applications right now for this reason, but what we can offer is a flexible working approach which can be discussed per role and a host of team cultural activities and treats in our office.

Requirements

You Will:

  • Own and manage the delivery of the Group’s Statutory Accounts including the audit
  • Own the preparation the annual tax returns for our entities and engage with the external parties to ensure filing deadlines are met
  • Support the team who produce the VAT and Sales Tax returns
  • Responsible for preparing the balance sheet accounts and consolidating the management accounts on a monthly basis
  • Ensure all insurance renewals are completed on time with accurate information

You Have:

  • An accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA.)
  • Audit experience
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in preparing and presenting financial information and expert skills using Excel and database products.
  • Capability of planning and managing multiple workstreams, with the drive and energy to work within tight deadlines.
  • Initiative to come up with ideas for improvement, and the confidence and energy to drive them through
