
Technical Programme Manager -- Stores Fulfilment
Job Description
The Stores Fulfilment Programme is responsible for the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes that impact colleagues throughout our distribution centres.
We are accountable for supporting the development and maintenance of tech solutions within our distribution centres. This includes a wide catalogue of existing manual solutions and hardware such as: Traka/AGH/Kaba/Denver/Paperless/Zebra AMTs & Printers as well as automated solutions such as: Dematic’s Highbay Automation / Swisslog’s A-Movers and Geek+’s AMR.
As well as supporting these solutions within our existing distribution centres our team is also accountable for ensuring all technology infrastructure is in place for new distribution centres being built (most recently Aylesford and the currently in progress Hinckley and London Gateway sites).
Role purpose:
You will be the primary TPM driving the delivery of Project Titan, our new automated grocery depot being built in London Gateway. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the first site at Tesco to be rolling out Witron’s automation solution which will be a great learning experience. You will also be accountable to manage the various teams in delivering the wider tech infrastructure to the site which means gaining exposure and knowledge of other technology infrastructure teams processes and the solutions which enable a distribution centre to function.
In parallel to this you’ll also be involved in delivery of wider fulfilment solutions supporting existing platforms to enable smooth operation of our existing distribution centres. There is numerous hardware and software platforms which as part of the team you’ll help support, maintain and improve!
Strong understanding of Technical Programme Management disciplines and managing within multiple frameworks.
Experience working with geographically diverse teams; programme, product, engineering, data & design.
You must be able to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience.
Management of annual Programme budgets. (Forecasting & Control).
The ability to work autonomously.
Good understanding of Technology Infrastructure.
