Job Description

At Tesco and Booker, we’re committed to building digital experiences that make things easier for every customer—and we welcome everyone to be part of that mission. If you’re passionate about digital development, enjoy turning complex challenges into clear solutions, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, this role could be a great match for you.

As a Technical Business Analyst within Booker Technology, you’ll work in the Online Shopping team to deliver secure, reliable, and customer‑focused digital solutions across our websites and mobile apps.

You’ll play a key role in shaping digital enhancements, breaking down complex problems, analysing bugs and data, and building solutions that improve customer satisfaction and support business goals.

You’ll be joining a high‑growth area: Booker.co.uk is the fastest‑growing wholesale online platform in the UK, generating £3.5 billion annually, with expectations to exceed £4 billion within the next two years. Around 3 million users rely on our platform—and that number is rising. Your work will directly influence their experience.

Our ambition is to create an effortless and engaging shopping journey for every Booker customer—no matter whether they’re using desktop, mobile web, or the app.
In this role, you will help turn that vision into reality by shaping solutions that are functional, scalable, and inspiring.

Solution Design & Development

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Break down complex initiatives into manageable features, tasks, and sub‑tasks.
  • Lead on data schema analysis, integration work, and technical documentation.
  • Partner with operational and technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible, tested, and supported effectively.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders and product teams to gather, refine, and document detailed requirements.
  • Present solution designs and secure stakeholder alignment and buy‑in.

Project Management

  • Lead and coordinate the technical implementation of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Support the creation of project plans, timelines, and deliverables alongside project and engineering teams.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks early, and put mitigation strategies in place.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Produce high‑quality documentation across all phases of solution development, including design, testing, and delivery.
  • Map processes, customer journeys, data flows, and system interactions.
  • Create and maintain reports that track project status, performance metrics, and solution impact.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend changes to optimise system performance.
  • Maintain the backlog, assess bug impact, and prioritise fixes.
  • Contribute to post‑implementation reviews to evaluate success and identify enhancements.
  • A strong technical background with experience in solution analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Proven experience leading technical implementations and managing technology projects from concept to completion.
  • Experience supporting acceptance testing, integration testing, and project planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain requirements to technical and non‑technical colleagues.
  • Experience writing user stories and identifying measurable business benefits.
  • Strong technical documentation capability, including reviewing and writing documentation for developers and specialists.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess and prioritise issues and UI improvements.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions, bringing people together to define solutions.
  • Knowledge of SEO and web best practices.

If you’re excited to contribute to a rapidly growing digital platform, solve meaningful problems, and work in an inclusive, collaborative environment, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
