We have an amazing opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Partner Domain team which sits within Tesco Technology. Our vision is to power supplier & site experiences across Tesco Group and delight with insights.

The Partner Domain team is responsible for delivering on our vision to power supplier & site experiences across Tesco Group and delight with insights. Our customers and stakeholders are Tesco colleagues who build experiences and journeys for the suppliers & sites that Tesco works with. We deliver initiatives and experiences across three core themes: Data Accuracy, Data Accessibility and Data Governance.

- Data Accuracy: Ensuring the accuracy of the supplier data we hold is ALWAYS guaranteed.

- Data Accessibility: Ensuring the core supplier and site data we hold is easily accessible to colleagues across Tesco who need this.

- Data Governance: Ensuring we establish ourselves as the single source of truth of core supplier data across Tesco & maintain this status.

Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, you will work alongside other product managers, designers and engineers, to define and execute the strategy for your portfolio of products (API’s, databases and applications) with a focus on how data relating to our suppliers and partners is collated from various sources, managed, and shared to drive benefit across the Tesco group and build trusted partnerships, in support of Tesco’s core purpose and values.

• Define a clear vision for supplier & site data led experiences, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and partners to set the strategy, define the roadmap, define OKR’s and drive prioritisation of key deliverables.

• Lead discovery work to identify high-impact opportunities and new problem/opportunity areas that deliver measurable improvements against prioritised and agreed outcomes and aligned with Tesco’s strategy.

• Collaborate and work closely with analytics, user experience, design, research and engineering teams to validate assumptions, ideas and experiments and ensure experiences are reliable, observable and effective.

• Own the end-to-end delivery of features from concept through production, scaling and continuous improvement.

• Be accountable for the performance/ adoption of your product and work towards increasing it while relentlessly measuring and communicating value created to all stakeholders, all the time.

• Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories, personas, and acceptance tests and help the team in breaking down a complex piece of work/ epic into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster.

• Monitor industry trends and best practices.

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with experience in managing technical / backend products such as APIs, or complex data structures, with a clear understanding of managing domain boundaries between related services.
  • Clear understanding and experience pf product management, including standard methodologies, ways of working and agile working processes.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and consumers on complex, data-driven products.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including influencing at senior levels.
  • Technically literate and competent to influence and understand the solution context and approach (legacy, tactical, strategic) and aid engineering in estimating the complexity of work being requested
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with peers, stakeholders, and teams across the business. Able to leverage these relationships to build consensus, drive change, and deliver value.
  • Experience of working in a complex change environment which encompasses multiple product and engineering teams, both local and remote, to deliver enterprise-wide applications and features
