Job Description

As an IS Analyst for Workplace Security, you will play an essential role in delivering secure, stable, and efficient systems that support business performance, customer satisfaction, and cash profit. You’ll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving security measures across Windows environments to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.

This role includes ensuring devices are patched, secure, and compliant; monitoring and reporting on security issues; and responding swiftly to incidents with thorough root cause analysis. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across IS, IT suppliers, Tesco Technology, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure seamless integration of security processes.

Health, Safety and Legal (Governance, Security and Controls)

  • Follow change management procedures and maintain system security.
  • Comply with company policies including financial, health and safety, and security standards.
  • Resolve technical and procedural issues following agreed processes, escalating where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with IT supplier contracts and licensing agreements.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion so that everyone feels welcome and supported.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Identify and address issues impacting system stability, availability, or functionality.
  • Prioritise and resolve technical and procedural issues promptly.
  • Specify system enhancements, log deficiencies, and support testing of delivered solutions.
  • Help produce accurate and timely management information.
  • Provide end-user training and guidance when required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to enhance service perception.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise system asset utilisation.
  • Support the delivery of system improvements and projects aligned with growth plans.
  • Contribute to projects that enhance cash profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver approved projects on time and within agreed budgets.

Cash Profit

  • Work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders to identify optimal solutions.
  • Follow procedures for the efficient storage and reuse of IS equipment.

Skills

Experience

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Defender for Endpoints, Ivanti UEM, Sophos, Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows OS.
  • Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes (desirable).
  • Technical project management skills.
  • Service management experience.
  • A track record of consistent results delivery.
