
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Delivery Support Controller, to lead and optimise Branch Transport operations. You’ll lead a team of Regional Delivery Support Managers to ensure all branches are operating Safe, Secure and Legal and efficiently at all times. Successfully planning and managing CV budgets and cost control. Responsible for successful, positive implementation of new company policies / procedures and system changes. This role will be pivotal in positively influencing key senior management teams in branches, the Support Centre, and regional support teams and driving Customer Satisfaction.
As a national role, regular travel is required. A car allowance will be provided where applicable.
This role can be based in any one of our DC sites.
• Ensuring branch transport operations are operating Safe, Secure and Legal at all times
• Closely monitoring legal compliance and completion of compliance checks
• Training, coaching and developing branch delivery teams
• Implementing company policy and procedure changes
• Successfully landing company system changes positively
• Ensuring branch transport operations are working within BTB@ guidelines
• Influencing senior management teams and regional support teams
• Improving delivered customer satisfaction performance
• Key KPI’s, including utilisation, on-time, Deskpro, MPro5 and Microlise performance
• Cost control and management of CV budgets
• Continuous improvement to branch transport operations
• Building relationships and liaising with suppliers
• Working closely with the Central Delivery Team

• To hold a Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification
• Strong experience in branch or store-based delivery and transport operations
• Experience leading remote teams and delivering change at a national scale through others
• Data literacy and confidence using operational data to drive decisions and measure impact
• Strong change management capability—comfortable working through ambiguity and helping teams adopt new ways of working
• Good commercial awareness, understanding how transport impacts cost, service, and colleague experience
• Coaching mindset, with the ability to develop others and drive consistent standards
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple initiatives and keep delivery on track
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Extensive experience in transport or logistics leadership roles, ideally within a national or multi-site environment.
• Proven track record of strategic planning, operational delivery, and team leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing large budgets and supplier contracts.
• Deep understanding of UK transport regulations, fleet management, and logistics technologies
