What you'll build
As the Visual Designer at the SAP Research & Innovation Team you will:
- Conduct white space analysis and provide a UX perspective on state-of-the-art technologies and their applicability to new business scenarios
- Turn complex and technical concepts into beautiful compelling experiences
- Gather business needs, conduct user research, and validate concepts with internal and external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively and independently with cross-functional teams including product management, development, content strategy, management and other stakeholders
- Create low-fidelity mockups up to high fidelity prototypes, user journeys, sitemaps, and clickable mockups to support development and communication
- Delight users by creating engaging visual experiences
- Experiment with new ideas and concepts
- Verify user interface designs through reviews, validations, and usability testing with end-users
- Facility workshops
- Focus on enterprise software processes in the context of finance and HR, and its end user’s benefits
- Deliver outcomes of assigned projects and report their UX relevant milestones
What you bring
- Enrolled student (f/m/d) to BS, MS, or PhD in a visual design field e.g., Digital Design, Interaction Design, Software Product Design, Information Design, Communication Design, Media Design from a top university
- Experience in working with Interface Designing, working with/extending a consistent Design System, and Visual Design (visualizations, logo design, etc.)
- Ability to design and implement working prototypes based on interaction and information design specifications
- Strong knowledge of user interfaces design tools like Sketch, Figma, InVision, Abstract, Adobe CC and others
- Excellent understanding of fundamental design principles and human interaction principles
- Fast learning curve and ability to quickly understand technical topics
- Knowledge of SAP and best practice visual design, corporate visual identity, and branding standards
- Design experience in facilitating exploration of technical topics
- A solid foundation in typography, layout and design
- Experience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interaction
- A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines
- The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
- Fluency in English language (German is a plus)
- Start-up experience or background is a plus
- Working from the office in Potsdam, Berlin is required
