What you´ll build

As a Visual Communication Design Student (f/m/d), you will design visually appealing communication materials while sticking to SAP’s overall brand strategy. Together with other designers and communication experts, you will work closely with various business units to create and craft effective design artefacts.

Your tasks include:

  • Help crafting digital and print material such as one-pagers, digital brochures, e-mail newsletters, assets for internal or external events, videos, and motion graphics
  • Create convincing presentation designs for large audiences, management and customers
  • Develop new design elements and assets based on visual guidelines
  • Create web designs for the team’s SharePoint page
  • Create infographics, charts, and sketch illustrations
  • Work closely with communications colleagues of the Business Operations team and gain insights into the operations of one of the world’s leading IT organizations.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, well-organized, solution-oriented, and energized by lifelong learning.

  • You are a master’s degree student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, looking to gain hands-on experience and apply your design skills in a practical setting.
  • Preferred fields of study: Communication Design, Graphic Design, Marketing Design or any design-related studies
  • Profound skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (esp. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects)
  • Language skills: Business fluent in English and German is a plus
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to apply respective structures in presentations
  • An eye for detail and a passion for graphic design that shows in samples of your work
  • Ability to turn complex issues into simple, understandable, and well-designed visuals
  • Experience in applying brand guidelines for digital media and print assets
  • Experience in videography/ camera operation, video-cutting and -compositing skills are a plus
  • Sketch/Figma or other prototyping tool skills are a plus
  • Soft skills: Team player, open-minded, detail-oriented, communicative, self-driven, reliable
  • Location: Berlin (twice a week in the office)

Where you belong

Our Corporate Processes & Information Technology Business Operations team (mainly based in Walldorf, Germany) supports the Chief Process and Information Officer (CPIO) of SAP and other teams in our organization of over 4,000 employees.

CPIT Business Operations drives core business services for the Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT) organization using a Business Partner model and a Center of Excellence framework. As part of this unit, the Employee Engagement & Governance Center of Excellence team ensures high standards of employee engagement, manages communication infrastructure and tools, and conducts quality reviews for effective and consistent communication across CPIT.

The team ensures proactive and tailored support for the CPIT leadership team and the CPIO, focusing on standardized content delivery, value-driven storytelling, and unified employee engagement channels.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
