Company Description

Job Description

What you´ll bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: computer science or related fields
  • Programming languages: proficiency in an object-oriented language (e.g. Java); knowledge of ABAP is a plus
  • Language skills: fluency in German and English
  • Structured approach to problem-solving
  • Openness to using AI tools as part of your daily workflow
  • Availability to join the team in the office in Walldorf on a regular basis

What you´ll build

Are you a student looking to gain hands-on experience in a production cloud environment? Join our team and help shape the tools we rely on every day.

Our team's mission is to bring git-based development processes to customers of ABAP Cloud offerings. This spans a broad range of topics and technologies — from a backend service developed and operated following DevOps practices, to contributions to continuous integration tools, to end-user-facing applications. On top of that, our work extends to Sovereign Cloud environments — which shapes how we approach development, operations, and tooling.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop features across frontend and backend — used in production by internal operators and external customers
  • Work closely with experienced developers, including participation in code reviews and team discussions
  • Present your work to stakeholders
  • Create end-user documentation
  • Challenge existing solutions and propose alternative approaches when appropriate

Where you belong

You will join the Repository Management team, a diverse team of six developers with different cultural backgrounds. We value questioning existing habits, discussing different solutions, and being curious about the unknown.

Qualifications

Additional Information

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

This is a SAP global, strategic, paid working student position that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
