Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll build

How can we use AI and data analytics to make cloud operations smarter and more efficient? Join our SAP Cloud ALM Operations team to explore practical use cases, uncover valuable insights from operational data, and experiment with AI tools like Claude.

You'll start by investigating how Real User Monitoring (RUM) data can help us better understand user behavior in cloud applications. Building on these findings, you'll explore how similar approaches can be applied to other operations scenarios, including AI-powered capabilities and integrations with SAP Joule.

Your tasks will include:

  • Instrument a sample cloud application with semantic descriptions of user action.
  • Analyze Real User Monitoring data and compare it with actual application usage to identify gaps and evaluate how well the data reflects the user experience.
  • Use Claude to generate business-relevant insights on application usage and user behavior such as task completion rates, time on task, task deviations, and most used features.
  • Apply and extend your findings to additional AI-assisted analytics and operations use cases.
  • Document your experiments, share insights with the team, and communicate your findings through technical blog posts.

What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in AI and hands-on experience with tools like Claude, or similar technologies.
  • Curiosity about data analytics, cloud applications.
  • Basic technical understanding of web applications and APIs is beneficial; extensive programming experience is not required.
  • An analytical and structured mindset, combined with creativity and a willingness to experiment with new approaches.
  • Good English communication skills and an interest in presenting technical findings in a clear and understandable way.
  • A self-organized, collaborative working style.
  • At least 2 semesters of studies till graduation left

Where you belong

SAP Cloud ALM is SAP's cloud-native application lifecycle management solution. Our Operations team builds monitoring and observability capabilities that give customers deep visibility into how their applications and business processes perform and how they are used. We help several thousand SAP customers run their landscapes stably, efficiently, and with confidence.

You'll join our Operations Product Management team, where we develop monitoring and observability capabilities and explore how AI can make cloud operations more intelligent and accessible.

Working closely with product managers, developers, and UX experts, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with emerging technologies, contribute your own ideas, and help shape the next generation of intelligent operations capabilities.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

This is a SAP global, strategic, paid working student position that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
