Job Description

We help the world run better

At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll build

Are you a detail-oriented student (f/m/d) looking to join an energetic, fast-paced team in the world’s leading business applications, data and AI company? We are seeking a friendly and motivated Commercial Office Specialist to play a crucial role in our global GTM office to support deal processing while ensuring compliance with approval criteria and evolving commercialization programs. In this business-critical position, you will be responsible for helping complex deal structures and collaborating with accounted executives and extended stakeholders, including commercial finance, revenue recognition, and commercialization teams. Not only will you assist with analyzing deals, but you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements within our sales workflows. Join us, and together we will drive success and deliver exceptional value to our customers!

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the commercialization process by thoroughly following the deal-flow and policies
  • Analyze simple deal structures, ensuring they are financially viable, strategically aligned with company goals, and compliant with company policies – eventually engaging more complex deals
  • Work closely with Account Executives, finance, legal, total rewards and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth deal execution, resolve any issues and handle exceptions
  • Partner with stakeholders to analyze improvements, helping the team to continually streamlining and automating the quote-to-cash (Q2C) experience
  • Support in preparing leadership and executive presentations on commercialization programs, revenue performance and risks
  • In collaboration with content specialists, create enablement and process assets and training materials for the sales teams

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in business, finance, software or a related field
  • Working knowledge of sales operations, deal desk, GTM or a related role in the software industry is an asset
  • Some experience in CRM systems or experience with pricing tools is a plus, but your curiosity and ability to learn and find solutions are more important
  • Financial and process analytical skills with a keen attention to detail – proficiency in Microsoft Excel or data and analytics tools is an asset
  • Problem-solving skills to navigate deals, quoting processes and incentive policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Where you belong

You will be joining the office of the Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for Business Data Cloud & AI, reporting to the Global Head of Business Data Cloud GTM. As a global team, you will have the opportunity to work with regions across the globe. It is a truly dynamic team with many cross-functional interactions and tremendous learning opportunities.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

This is a SAP global, strategic, paid working student position that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
