What you'll build
We are looking for a motivated Working Student (f/m/d) to join our GenAI and ML engineering work within Cloud Operations and Trust (Security) Area. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to projects which help us operate the products in SAP Customer Experience suite of products. You will work alongside senior engineers, own bounded features and experiments end-to-end, and build practical experience with the tools and architectures shaping enterprise AI today.
In this role, you will:
- Support and contribute to the development of AI-native applications, including RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, agentic workflows, and embed into standard software
- Own small, well-scoped features or research tasks end-to-end, under guidance from senior engineers
- Prototype and test AI/ML ideas, document findings, and present results to the team
- Help build and maintain tooling, scripts, and evaluation frameworks that improve team productivity
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint reviews) and contribute to backlog refinement with technical input
- Stay current with developments in the GenAI and ML ecosystem and bring fresh perspectives to the team
What you bring
Education & Track Record
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor's students with strong AI/ML coursework considered). Solid academic or project experience with Python and at least one AI/ML framework
- Demonstrated curiosity about Generative AI, LLMs, or ML systems through coursework, personal projects, or research
Technical Skills
- Solid Python skills and comfort working with AI/ML libraries (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, scikit-learn, pandas) Databricks is a plus
- Familiarity with LLM concepts: prompt engineering, RAG basics, embeddings, vector search
- Experience with REST APIs and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. SAP BTP is a plus
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD basics, and collaborative development workflows
- Any exposure to SAP BTP, CAP, or enterprise software environments is a bonus, not a requirement

Working from the office in Walldorf, St. Leon-Rot, Frankfurt Eschborn, or Munich is required at least once per week
