What you'll do

We are looking for a working student (f/m/d) who would be excited to develop AI applications for SAP Sustainability solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI related developments, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. You will be part of a central team in SAP Sustainability Engineering area and will be working on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) on early ideas from different SAP Sustainability Solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PoCs for AI applications embedded into SAP Sustainability solutions
  • Focus on development work on cutting-edge AI technologies, including advanced Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI and Conversational AI
  • Collaborate closely with product teams in SAP Sustainability portfolio
  • Leverage both internal SAP and external state-of-the-art AI frameworks to build applications
  • Proactively research and experiment with latest advancements in Generative AI
  • Use developer efficiency tools such as Git Hub Co-Pilot for development work

What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences.
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer science, business informatics, math, or similar
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and enterprise software
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and similar
  • Knowledge or initial experience with (generative) AI and related technologies
  • Knowledge or initial experience with REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, or other container/PaaS environments
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), German a plus
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, global team environment

The AI4Sustainability program in Sustainability Engineering unit helps SAP Sustainability Solutions to leverage AI to provide innovative solutions to our customers on their transformation journey.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
