Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Position summary

What you’ll build in this role, you’ll lead Utilities customers through complex transformations—designing target architectures, decoupling billing where it creates value, and aligning business processes to clean-core SAP principles to drive measurable outcomes in cost-to-serve, reliability, and customer experience. You’ll define pragmatic, scalable roadmaps across SAP S/4HANA (S/4HANA) Utilities and adjacent solutions, safeguarding long-term platform stability while accelerating innovation. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and an architectural authority across functional teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Architecture and solution design: Define end-to-end solution architectures across business processes, application components, integrations, and data flows; design target and transition states; apply clean-core and upgrade-safe extensibility patterns
  • Utilities business perspective: Position Meter-to-Cash, Customer Service, Field Services, Device Management, and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)/Master Data Management (MDM) integrations holistically—not as isolated functions
  • Onsite Billing (PROLOGA): Architect integration patterns across Onsite Billing, Industry Solution for Utilities (IS-U) with corresponding solutions, and external systems; advise on adoption strategies, performance, and regulatory scenarios
  • Artificial Intelligence mindset & value: Identify and pilot pragmatic AI/automation opportunities (e.g., service request triage, billing anomaly detection, testing acceleration, documentation generation, KPI forecasting) with measurable outcomes and responsible AI guardrails
  • Leadership & advisory: Lead executive workshops, roadmaps, assessments, and design governance; support pre-sales with feasibility, estimates, and solution narratives; resolve complex escalations across business and technical domains

What you bring — Must-haves

  • 8+ years in SAP Utilities solution architecture, spanning end-to-end processes and integration design
  • Proven experience with S/4HANA Utilities, including side-by-side extensions and clean-core–compliant patterns
  • Hands-on architectural knowledge across IS-U and integrations with Onsite Billing (PROLOGA) and external platforms
  • Strong advisory skills with executives and cross-functional teams; ability to produce high-quality roadmaps and design documentation
  • Demonstrated AI mindset with pilots that improved cycle time, quality, cost-to-serve, or customer experience
  • Languages: Native Portuguese and fluent English; Spanish preferred (advanced working proficiency)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in billing decoupling and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with Utilities regulatory frameworks across Brazil/LATAM
  • Pre-sales experience for Utilities transformations
  • Strong presentation skills for mixed audiences

Where you belong

  • Join a collaborative Utilities practice that blends engineering rigor with business-first thinking. We mentor across seniority levels, share reusable patterns, and invest in certification and continuous learning.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Services, Partners, and Customer Success to ensure consistent messaging and value realization.
  • We welcome diverse experiences and non-traditional career paths, and we foster an inclusive environment where everyone can grow.

Work model Hybrid. Ability to work remotely and engage onsite at customer locations for key workshops, design sessions, cutover, and stakeholder alignment. Travel primarily across Brazil and LATAM; other regions as needed.
