This is a unique opportunity to combine academic study with industry experience with the world’s leading business software provider, SAP. This dual study program will kick start students’ careers by giving them an opportunity to put their academic studies to immediate use in industry. In tandem they will be able to bring real industry insight back to their academic pursuits.

The STAR Program at SAP offers a range of possibilities that allows you to continuously broaden your knowledge and pave the way for a successful career.

What you'll do

Starting on September 15th, 2026, the program kicks off with a comprehensive onboarding phase in which you will strengthen your technical skills and get to know SAP and your fellow program participants.

Our program provides numerous opportunities within SAP. Throughout the program, you will rotate through three different departments and gain insights into various topics (6 months each rotation). You will broaden your knowledge in your preferred working fields and prepare yourself for a successful career in the IT industry.

You will work an average of 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours to suit your lecture times. At the end of your studies, in consultation with your university supervisor, you can write a practice-oriented master's thesis with SAP.

For your personal and professional development, there will be plenty of training options for pursuing your individual development goals.

What you’ll bring

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade average of 8 or higher
  • Acceptance into one of the following Master’s programs, starting October 2026 at:
    • University POLITEHNICA Bucharest
    • University of Bucharest: Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science
    • Bucharest University of Economic Studies: Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems, Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics.
    • University POLITEHNICA Timisoara: Faculty of Automation and Computing.
    • West University of Timisoara – Mathematics – Informatics, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration
  • Full commitment to the 1.5-year SAP Romania STAR Program, with active participation in all program components
  • Initial professional experience through internships, apprenticeships, or working student roles is an advantage
  • Good knowledge with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, C++, Python, SQL and others
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Detail-oriented, well-organized, proactive, data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze information, solve problems creatively, communicate ideas clearly and capable of managing tasks independently.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication skills, cultural awareness, and emotional intelligence to thrive in a global, team-oriented environment.
  • Growth & Learning Orientation: Curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, ready to pursue certifications and embrace emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent English communication skills, additional language skills is a plus.
  • A strong drive to excel both academically and professionally

Compensation Range Transparency
