What you'll build

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Network Engineer who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of SAP Cloud network infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure to deliver exceptional support to our customers.


The role includes the following tasks:

  • Operate and maintain complex Hyperscaler networks, track significant problems, monitor performance, and perform upgrades as required.
  • Engage with customers for network connectivity planning.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure Development team to implement security framework.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Deploy security patches and security automation framework.
  • Perform and lead diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot and develop solutions on AWS, Azure & GCP
  • Respond to and resolve escalated alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Provide project support on improvement initiatives.
  • Address continual improvement measures as a result of the problem management process.
  • Participate in deep level incident troubleshooting.
  • Participate in complex change preparation and execution.
  • Other support tasks, duties, and responsibilities, e.g., hardware installations, troubleshooting, and administration Implement security requirements across all Cloud platform
  • Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems
  • Provide guidance as a subject matter expert on product design, development, troubleshooting, and documentation applications that run-on all Hyperscalers
  • Work in a diverse environment and cross-train with other global team members.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvements.
  • Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
  • Flexible schedule which may include weekend or after business hours work

What you bring

  • Strong experience with Hyperscaler networking (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Strong experience with network monitoring & troubleshooting
  • Experience working with Linux
  • Experience implementing security on AWS with VPC, IAM, Security Grouos, UTM solutions, NACLS, etc.) and provision infrastructure on AWS, and scale applications.
  • Strong experience of architecture and design infrastructure on AWS, Azue & GCP
  • Strong experience with AWS Management Tools as Cloud watch and Cloud Trail
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field.
  • Security-first mindset, and familiar with Governance, Risks and Compliance.
  • Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Familiar with Infrastructure as Code environments and concepts
  • Familiar with automation technologies such as Ansible & Terraform for network deployment and management.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools & technologies such as CI/CD pipelines & Git
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, ensuring consistent coverage and support.
  • Commitment to maintaining office presence for efficient team collaboration.
  • Must be an Indian citizen and willing to undergo a security clearance process

Where you belong

SAP Sovereign Cloud Delivery India unit will be providing the SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Services in India, working on the cloud landscape architecture design, build, maintain and operate, to deliver a stable, secure and resilient cloud services, fully compliant to the local laws, regulations and the unique security, secrecy and digital sovereignty requirements of India. The team will be collaborating closely with central Architecture team, Security Office, Engineering teams and with Regulatory and Governance teams in India.
