Job Description: Senior SAP BTP Solution Advisor

Location: Hong Kong, Greater China Department: SAP BTP Customer Advisory Position Type: Full-time Reports To: GC SAP BTP Customer Advisory Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an Senior SAP BTP Solution Advisor to support and accelerate our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) business in Hong Kong. This role will partner closely with customers, partners, and internal sales teams to position SAP BTP, drive BTP adoption, and increase BTP service consumption across application development & automation, integration, AI, sometimes maybe include data & analytics.

The ideal candidate has strong technical depth, consulting capability, and a cloud business mindset, able to influence architecture decisions while driving measurable adoption and usage growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement & Advisory

· Lead BTP discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and value-based discussions.

· Understand customer pain points and map them to SAP BTP capabilities.

· Deliver cloud architecture recommendations, adoption plans, modernization roadmaps, and clean-core strategies.

2. Pre-Sales & Deal Support

· Work with sales teams to build compelling BTP proposals, solution presentations, and technical value propositions.

· Support RFP/RFI responses with clear, differentiated BTP architecture designs.

· Influence technical and business stakeholders to drive BTP subscription expansion and new deal wins.

3. Solution Architecture & Technical Design

· Design end-to-end solutions leveraging:

o Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, B2B/EDI)

o Extension Suite (CAP, RAP, Kyma, Build Apps, Cloud Foundry)

o BTP Security & IAM (IAS/IPS, OAuth, SSO, Role design)

o AI & Automation (SAP AI services, Build Process Automation)

o Data & Analytics (HANA Cloud, Datasphere, SAC)

· Ensure adherence to clean core, SAP reference architecture, and cloud best practices.

4. Proof of Concept (PoC) & Hands-On Validation

· Lead or support PoCs, prototypes, and technical validations to prove feasibility.

· Provide light hands-on configuration/development when required.

5. Enablement, Evangelism & Thought Leadership

· Enable internal teams, partners, and customers on BTP capabilities, roadmap, and adoption patterns.

· Contribute to IP and reusable assets such as architecture blueprints, reference models, accelerators, and demo content.

· Act as a subject matter expert for BTP innovations and competitive positioning.

6. Post-Sales Guidance & Customer Success Partnership

· Support post-sales teams to ensure successful BTP adoption, renewal, and consumption growth.

· Help customers troubleshoot early-stage architecture challenges and usage barriers.

· Advocate customer needs to SAP product teams when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technologies Management.

Technical Skills

· 5+ years in SAP technical, architecture, or solution advisory roles.

· Expertise in at least one SAP BTP pillar and good understanding of others:

o Integration Suite

o Extension Suite / CAP-based development

o Identity & Access Management

o AI/Automation tools

· Better to have knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, extensibility, and clean-core principles.

· Experience with cloud platforms (SAP, AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba).

Soft Skills

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to present complex cloud concepts in simple business language.

· Customer-focused consulting mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

· Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable leading architecture conversations.

Preferred Certifications

· SAP BTP certifications (Integration, Extension, Developer, Architect).

· SAP S/4HANA or cloud hyperscaler certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
