Senior Vice President, Head of SAP Concur Product Marketing
Within SAP, the SAP Concur Product Marketing team defines how we capture the Travel & Expense market. We sit at the intersection of product innovation, customer value, commercial growth, and market influence.
The SVP, SAP Concur Product Marketing is a thought leader and evangelist for travel and expense, shaping the portfolio narrative through customer insight, competitive intelligence, market trends, and industry expertise. This leader drives the overall positioning and value proposition for the Concur portfolio while influencing product direction, expansion opportunities, customer engagement strategies, and market perception and works across SAP’s Finance & Spend Management organization and the broader SAP community to align market realities, product innovation, commercial priorities, and go-to-market execution in support of SAP’s growth ambitions. The role is also responsible for inspiring and leading a team of product marketers focused on delivering audience-centric growth strategies in partnership with Product & Engineering, Global Marketing, and Customer Success.
Success in this role requires the ability to lead in a matrixed environment, build alignment around strategic investment priorities, and ensure SAP Concur delivers differentiated value to customers across the full customer lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess and Define Market Opportunity
- Shape how SAP Concur wins in the market by identifying growth opportunities, market shifts, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry trends.
- Partner closely with the Concur Chief Product Officer (CPO) & Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to align commercial, product, and market strategies.
- Define market opportunity, TAM, and strategic growth priorities across customer segments, industries, geographies, and buying centers.
Drive Positioning, Messaging, and Portfolio Narrative
- Own the global value proposition, positioning and messaging for the Concur portfolio, grounded in customer insight, market trends and competitive intelligence.
- Ensure messaging supports the full customer lifecycle from awareness and pipeline generation through adoption, expansion, and retention.
- Lead portfolio-level communications and messaging for product launches, innovation announcements, strategic changes, and retirements.
- Ensure consistent articulation of customer value across marketing, sales, analyst, partner, and executive communications.
- Partner with Global Marketing to shape brand strategy, naming, messaging architecture, and flagship marketing moments.
Build Market Awareness, Demand and Customer Engagement
- Partner with Global Marketing to activate campaigns and customer engagement programs aligned to business objectives and GTM priorities.
- Own executive communications, thought leadership, and flagship event narratives that elevate SAP Concur’s market presence and category leadership.
- Serve as the primary SAP Concur spokesperson for analyst relations, PR collaboration, reputation programs, and external influencer engagement.
Influence Portfolio and Commercial Strategy
- Influence future portfolio direction through market insight, customer feedback, adoption trends, and commercial performance analysis.
- Partner with Product & Engineering leadership to align roadmap priorities with market opportunity and customer demand.
- Shape packaging, monetization, pricing, expansion, cross-sell, and partner-led growth strategies to increase market success.
Build Organizational Alignment and Leadership
- Lead a global, high-performing team of product marketers.
- Foster a customer-first, audience-centric culture grounded in market insight, innovation, and measurable business impact.
- Operate as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, influencing investment priorities, growth decisions, and strategic direction.
- Develop and mentor talent while building organizational capabilities that support future growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software product marketing, marketing or go-to-market leadership.
- Proven executive leadership experience within B2B SaaS organizations, ideally in Travel and Expense or adjacent enterprise categories.
- Demonstrated success defining and executing large-scale market strategies and growth plans for global technology portfolios.
- Strong track record influencing executive stakeholders and driving alignment across highly matrixed organizations, ideally with experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing functions to deliver commercial outcomes.
- Deep expertise in positioning, messaging, portfolio strategy, integrated GTM execution, and customer-centric growth models.
- Strong understanding of enterprise buying centers, ecosystem-led growth strategies, and customer adoption motions.
- Executive presence with exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience engaging with analysts, media, partners, and C-level audiences.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing global teams through periods of transformation and growth.
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of procurement, finance, or broader spend management ecosystems preferred.
- Familiarity with both Enterprise and Midmarket customer segments.
- Experience defining both direct and partner-led growth strategies in global enterprise environments.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 370400-USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
