SAP Global Cloud Operations (GCO) supports customers throughout their Cloud transformation and plays an important role for achieving SAP’s cloud ambition. We run the SAP software product portfolio on the customers’ preferred infrastructure and with SAP Cloud Application Services at the core, we help customers to accelerate their SAP S/4HANA adoption and transformation to become Intelligent Enterprises.

One of SAP’s largest customers has started their “RISE with SAP” transformation two years ago and tasked SAP to move their business to the cloud. As part of this transformation, the ~80 productive landscapes must be moved to SAP’s private cloud and about 16 productive landscapes in China. In parallel, the customer is also undergoing an SAP S/4HANA transformation.

To provide the best level of service and to cope with the complexity, a dedicated team is working exclusively for this customer. The goal of this team is to operate the entire customer SAP landscape and drive innovation adoption.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Landscape Owner for one of our strategic customer accounts.

The Role:

As a Senior Technical Landscape Owner, you are part of an SAP Technology expert team who are the primary SPOCs and E2E responsible for all customer SAP landscapes. Apart from this you are supporting the Head of Technical Service Management and your PLO colleagues in optimizing processes (e.g., Alert management, automation) and improving the end-user experience (e.g., Performance).

What you bring:

  • Familiarity with SAP system administration tools NetWeaver and non-NetWeaver.
  • Solid experience in technical planning, implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP solutions
  • Good knowledge of the entire SAP technology stack
  • Good experience with hyperscalers.
  • Solid understanding of network concepts: DNS, Firewalls, network-based encryption, etc.
  • Support the customer with their cloud transformation journey by taking ownership of the customer landscape during all lifecycle phases.
  • Proactively identify issues before they impact system availability.
  • Work as trusted technical advisor representing SAP ECS for the customer
  • Collaborate with various teams from within and outside the ECS organization.
  • This is very much a customer-facing role. You will be working closely with customer technical experts.
  • Some weekends/off hours work during critical go-lives. Flexibility is must.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Management, or related field.
  • Expert in industry standards and methodologies for operations (ITIL v3, CCoE, ITSM, TCO and E2E Operations / Run SAP, ALM) – certifications in any of these topics are a big plus
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English: Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audience with clarity and confidence
  • Customer centric mindset: Consistently deliver highest service quality standards, customer success and achieving results.
  • Team player: Ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams. Your colleagues will be based around the world: Europe, South Africa, Brazil, and India.
  • Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way
  • Strong focus on quality, customer success and driven by results
  • Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking
  • Some project management experience is a plus.

Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years SAP technology experience, preferably in an SAP support / consulting environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • English (advanced/fluent written & spoken). You will mostly communicate in English with other Teams and the customer.
  • Other languages are a plus but not mandatory
