SUMMARY
SAP Enterprise Cloud Services is the operations organization of the SAP HANA Enterprise cloud. The team ECS CTO Service Engineering acts as the interface between ECS CTO Operations and SAP field organization. We support Go-To-Market (GTM) teams with operational expertise and conceptual work globally. We pick up service requirements arising from customer engagements and drive Business Development and Portfolio Management to strengthen SAP’s service offering in the managed cloud. We also perform architecture engineering projects and technology innovation pilots to support selected customer projects as well as ECS’s overall portfolio development. Our responsibility also covers the cost model as well as cost optimization workstreams.
THE ROLE
As a "IT Technology Senior Specialist” in ECS CTO Service Engineering, you will
- Become part of our Pricing and FinOps team that will calculate and optimize our infrastructure costs and revenue
- Work on business case related topics, statistics and support other teams with this expertise
- Dig into the cost structure of our organization, to uncover savings and waste of costs
- Dig into the technical setup of our customer deployments to propose cost optimizations, particularly in the Hyperscaler infrastructure cost area
- Bring in new ideas in scope of FinOps to improve our TCO
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Required skills
- Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or economics with working experience of 8+ years in the IT Industry
- Either IT technology and SAP product background such as SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, Hyperscaler infrastructure, IT Security or Business Continuity with ambitions to develop into the area of financial operations and cost investigation
- IT costing, controlling and accounting background with ambitions to develop into the area of IT technology, particularly into Hyperscaler topics
- Strong analytical and investigational competencies as well as communication skills to collaborate with various other global teams in English verbally as well as in writing
Preferred skills
- Experience in the design of (large) SAP landscapes including high-availability and disaster recovery concepts
- Operational (ITIL) and Project Management (like PMI, Prince2) skills are beneficial
- Experience in the FinOps area is an advantage
