JOB OVERVIEW
As the driving force behind SAP Concur's growth in your territory, you will own the full sales cycle — from identifying untapped opportunities to closing deals and building lasting client partnerships. You will hunt new business through prospecting, outbound outreach, and strategic use of partner networks, while nurturing existing accounts to maximise retention and expansion. You are measured on your ability to meet and exceed annual revenue and booking targets. This role reports to the Regional Sales Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently identifies, negotiates and closes new business opportunities
- Develops and maintains an effective business, sales, and marketing plan for assigned territory
- Develops new strategies to generate cost effective sales leads
- Properly forecasts monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for assigned territory
- Consistently maintains a reasonable number of new weekly face-to-face prospect meetings
- Maintains proper sales pipeline hygiene and deal forecasting
- Develops sales strategies that link prospect’s business drivers to Concur’s Employee Spend Management Solution
- Effectively demonstrates and presents Concur’s value proposition to qualified prospects
- Provides constant feedback to Sales management on deal progress and market penetration
- Accurately qualifies and prepares Pre-Sales Consultants and Services staff for customer demonstrations and presentations
- Aligns with SAP VAT team members on SAP Business Suite opportunities including RISE, GROW and multi-LOB sell motions
- Demonstrates strict compliance with SAP’s Code of Ethics and embodies SAP ethical values
PRE-REQUISITES
- BA in a business or technical related area of study
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling ERP or financial solutions
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Creative problem solver
- Effective listening and qualification skills in order to bring value to clients through solution-selling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion and presentation abilities
- Excellent cold-calling skills
- Sales experience with financial/accounting applications is a strong plus
- Strong business acumen
- Able to adopt new concepts, tools and skills quickly to capitalize on SAP product innovation
