Senior Finance Specialist- Commercial Support CoE( Americas)

The Commercial Support CoE (Americas) Senior Finance Specialist role under the Global Commercial Finance (GCF) organization provides CoE (Center of Excellence) expert level support to the regional Commercial Finance teams under the Americas, in addition, to collaborating with other key customers including SAP’s Customer Success and Renewals organizations.

The major areas of responsibility under this role include:

  • Serving as a trusted business advisor providing value-add partnering and support to the regional Commercial Finance teams under the Americas regarding deal structuring, compliance and pricing.
  • · Validation of existing contractual commercial obligations, deal structuring and pricing reviews from a 2nd level CoE expert support perspective.
  • · Participating in developing and supporting Global Commercial Finance policies and processes, in addition, to other topics and projects.
  • · Developing and facilitating training and enablement sessions outlining Commercial best practices while adhering to current Commercial policies and processes across all SAP lines of business (Cloud (Private and Public), On-Premises and Renewals/Maintenance) and current business models.
  • · Supporting an efficient deal execution process through simplification, automation and quality enhancements and recommendations to support the overall global SAP deal support community from a commercial finance perspective.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • · University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law or Economics or a comparable/relevant educational background is an advantage.
  • · Minimum upper-intermediate written and verbal English proficiency. Other languages including Spanish are also beneficial.
  • · Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to deliver messages with confidence, competence and composure.
  • · Team player with a positive, agile, service-oriented mindset and empathetic attitude.
  • · Extremely detail-oriented with strong and proactive organizational and follow-up skills.
  • · Ability to multitask, prioritize and solve problems proactively and adapt in a continually changing business environment.
  • · Navigating complex organizational relationships across stakeholders with varying objectives through personal influence and effective communication skills.
  • · Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating flexibility while often delivering under short deadlines.
  • · Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • · Experience with SAP systems is a plus (i.e. ISP, Cloud Reporting, CPQ/Harmony, CRM etc.).
  • · Ability to work independently in an international and virtual environment with a high degree of self-motivation, proactiveness and accountability.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within SAP (or SaaS/IT industry) and/or directly in a commerical transactional support capacity within an organization.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP's existing pricing and business models is preferred.
  • Proven record of excellent perofrmance.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 127100 - 216000(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
