Summary and Role Information:
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) for the newly founded Central Build team as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. With the buildout of new Sovereign Cloud regions, you will be taking part in laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry.
You will be responsible for the buildout of Multitenant solutions in regions around the globe. A part of your responsibilities you will also be upskilling newly staffed regional operations staff.

What you'll do:
• Initial build and implementation of SAP Solutions across Sovereign Cloud regions
• Analyse deployment issues and support continuous improvement of implementation documentation
• Working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape provisioning
• Partner with product development team to design and enhance the services
• Work in a diverse environment and cross-train with other global team members


What you will bring:
· Desire and ability to work independently on complex issues, as well as collaborate efficiently with experts across different time zones to anticipate issues that impact customer success
· Expertise with GitLab
· Familiar with Terraform and Ansible
· Expertise with Linux, SUSE
· Experience with some of the following: Kubernetes, Helm, Python, BASH scripting
· Debugging/Troubleshooting skills
· Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines and changing priorities
· Excellent communication and prioritization skills
· Willingness to learn
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

· Willingness to go through personal security clearance (Government process)


Beneficial
· Experience with Cloud Computing and Databases (e.g AWS Route 53, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, ACM, KMS, VP or respective knowledge in Azure services) is a big plus
· Hashicorp Vault, Argo CD, GitOps
· Experience with CI/CD
· Experience with building, implementing, and/or supporting multitenant solutions
