What you`ll do


Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic development team. You will play a critical role in engineering, operating and improving applications for Corporate Asset & Configuration Management, ensuring efficient SAP-wide user access to the provided services. This position demands a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for automating central Corporate Services in heterogenous environments using SAP technologies for accessing source systems, data harmonization as well as validation and data provisioning.

The Role:


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Software Engineering:
    Develop and enhance Business Applications for Asset & Configuration Mgmt, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
    Collaborate with colleagues in an agile SCRUM environment to translate requirements into production-ready code.
  2. Operations and Optimization:
    Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Business Applications to proactively resolve issues in high-load data processing environments.
  3. Automation and Tooling:
    Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
    Implement unit tests as part of every code deployment as well as maintaining it in a version control system.
    Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and technologies to enhance the overall development and deployment process.
  4. Collaboration and Documentation:
    Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in related infrastructure-focused areas like FinOps, Observability.
    Create comprehensive documentation for provisioning processes, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
    Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years Experience in Software Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale data management and structured data processing at a global enterprise scale
  • Certifications in SAP Technology Stacks (ABAP/OO, SAPUI5/Fiori, BTP ABAP Cloud)
  • Strong proficiency in high-level programming languages like ABAP, JavaScript including common design patterns
  • Experience in using version control systems like GIT
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • Familiarity with SAP Technology Stacks (S/4HANA, RAP, BTP CF)
  • Experience in typical Web Protocols like HTTP, TLS, oData
  • Strong knowledge in Cloud Platform Architectures (Hyperscaler or SAP-own)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong communication skills (English / German) and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Certification in ITIL for Incident & Service Mgmt. is a plus
