About SAP Labs Network and SAP Labs Vietnam

SAP Labs Network is the global R&D setup where over 55,000 engineers around the world create, operate and support the most innovative enterprise solutions for SAP’s customers worldwide. SAP Labs Vietnam aims to become one of the key locations within the SAP Labs Network to support the engineering growth for SAP.

What you’ll build

As a Senior Developer for the Sustainability Control Tower you will help to develop various new features for a professional SaaS business application.

The initial focus will be on the underlying data model and data collection capabilities (including workflow), but over time span over all aspects of the application. We are looking for a passionate Senior Developer with a strong background in data models and data integration. As Developer you will:

  • Implement modern cloud business applications which will help customers to transition into the future of sustainable businesses

  • Work together with the other colleagues in your team in an agile process

  • Thrive for engineering excellence for the Sustainability Control Tower cloud offering

The work will be hands-on including development tasks and setting up systems/tenants to explore integration options.

What you bring:

Required skills:

  • Profound experience in software engineering and a track record of business application data model design and architecture work.

  • Solid development and software architecture skills (Java or JavaScript)

  • General software engineering knowledge (versioning, API design, database design, build automation, testing, code quality…)

  • Conceptual and structured working style with a strong sense for prioritization

  • Self-motivated individual with a positive can-do attitude and innovator mindset

  • Solid technical knowledge on cloud native software development, including hands-on software engineering experience, ideally in the Java or JavaScript / node.js environment

  • 6+ years of experience acting as a professional software engineer

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Optional skills:

  • Experience with workflow and data collection software

  • Knowledge in the sustainability domain, especially in ESG reporting and related regulations

  • Experience with related SAP solutions and technologies, such as SAP BTP, CAP, OData, SAP UI5, Fiori Elements and SAP Build Process Automation
