SAP HANA Cloud Database is a global leader in high-performance mission-critical enterprise database systems and keeps growing as a core platform for enterprise data management and analytics. HANA Database Kernel Team is one of the core and privileged teams for SAP HANA Cloud Database development, covering a wide spectrum of technology components. It includes the core data integration features such as federation and replication, database migration service and cloud data export/import, workload management, client/server session management, metadata management, connectivity, elastic compute scaling, and even more. The team has contributed to the success of SAP HANA Cloud Database significantly with new innovations (holding more than 100 registered or filed patents) and feature delivery in quality.

In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled group of professionals, contributing to the creation of innovative solutions. Expectation and Tasks:

As a senior developer, you will work within a cross-location team. Your anticipated responsibilities are as follows:

· Contribute to technological innovation with HANA Cloud by developing new features

· Ensure quality releases by writing unit tests and end-to-end integration tests for the developed items.

· Collaborate with colleagues worldwide, including North America, Europe, and Asia regions

· Conduct research on market-leading technologies to stay ahead in the industry

· Contribute to the company’s Business AI strategy

Educations and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

As we hire various types of contributors, we are open for talents who have solid background on computer engineering and who are passionate to learn, grow fast, work professionally, and pursue real problem-solving with teamwork.

Basic Qualifications:

· B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience in industry

· Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C++ is preferred)

· Proficiency in spoken and written English

· Responsibility, integrity, and teamwork

· Creative thinking, willingness and ability to learn quickly new concepts and technologies

Preferred Qualifications (Plus Factors)

· MS or Ph.D. degree in computer science or related fields

· Knowledge of modern database systems including SQL, query processing, and federated query processing

· Good understanding of cloud-native software design architecture and security

· Experience in development and deployment in cloud environments

· Experience in leading projects or teams
