What you’ll do:

We are looking for developers who have a strong background in software development and be able to take a leading role in guiding and mentoring junior developers. Responsibilities will include working on complex projects, assisting with technical decision-making, and contributing to the overall success of our development team. This is a hands-on position that requires a deep understanding of programming languages and a track record of successful project delivery.

You have the chance to contribute to improving and redefining payables and receivables management (PRM) functionalities for better usability and easier consumption with strong Cloud focus. PRM deals with the management of invoices, incoming and outgoing Payments or bank statement processing. Your team will help to automate those high-volume processes using the latest technologies, including aspects of AI.

In your role as a senior developer, your tasks will cover:

  • Research, design, development, and test of usable software closely collaborating with Product Management and team
  • Responsible for delivery of outcome of assigned projects or areas of responsibility
  • Apply, mentor and lead other team members to use the methods of agile software engineering, e.g. pair-programming and code reviews
  • Coordinate small cross-team tasks
  • Contribute to automation of Financial Processes
  • Apply methods of Continuous Feature Delivery
  • Create excellence both in terms of quality and scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis, and refinement of the system implementation
  • Keen to learn business processes and translate customer requirements to end-user software
  • Focus on producing and verifying Quality-driven coding practices

What you bring:

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree or PhD in (business) informatics, natural sciences, information systems, economics or in a comparable field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Software Development
  • Significant experience as a developer in designing and implementing applications with customer adoption in any programming language with strong test-driven development mindset
  • Passion for technology and software craftsmanship
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies
  • Excellent team player, passionate about your work
  • Excellent communication skills both in Hungarian and in English, both verbal and written are essential
  • Strong interest in business applications
  • Experience in following technologies is a plus:
  • ABAP (RAP) / CDS Views / OData
  • Fiori-Elements / SAP UI5
  • GitHub and Jira
  • Artificial Intelligence related technologies

Meet your team:

Our area Core Finance is within the S/4HANA Cloud ERP organization in the Product & Engineering board area. Our products are key elements in SAP's Finance portfolio and are widely used by customers.

Our area consists of several teams in different locations such as Brno, Shanghai, Walldorf, Galway, and in Budapest.

As a development unit for public cloud business software, the primary task of the team in Budapest is to provide new features and professional support for a cluster of topics to our customers. This will be in close collaboration with existing teams in our different locations.
