What you`ll do

We are looking for a cloud-native (Senior) Developer (f/m/d) to work on one of the most important topics of our time – sustainability. The SAP Sustainability Control Tower helps companies around the world understand their ESG impact and move towards a more sustainable future. You will join our dynamic, diverse, and highly motivated development team to help make this important mission a reality for our customers.

As a (Senior) Developer (f/m/d) for SAP Sustainability Control Tower, you will work closely with other scrum team members. In a continuous delivery mode, you will tackle interesting technical challenges and shape our product. In your role, you will develop in Java and TypeScript and utilize Spring, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), SAPUI5, Git, Jenkins and other tools and frameworks to create highly scalable and performant solutions. You will get opportunities to collaborate with our key customers and help them make the most of our products.

What you bring

We are looking for an approachable and collaborative team member with a customer-driven approach, a drive to learn and share their knowledge and experience with the team. You should aim for technical excellence and demonstrate a strong sense of quality and ownership in the code and features you deliver.

  • Minimum of 5 years development experience in a relevant tech-stack
  • Very good development skills in Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript
  • Experience with modern cloud-native application development, CI/CD and automated testing
  • Experience in all aspects of designing, creating and maintaining a high-quality codebase
  • Good degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field (Bachelor / Master)
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SAP technologies such as CAP, SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, SAP Business Technology Platform

Our multifunctional development team is based in Munich, Germany, and consists of cloud-native developers, product owners, architects, DevOps, UX, UA and translation colleagues. We are very multicultural – with approximately 20 colleagues from ca. 10 different countries.

We are part of a growth unit within SAP, developing SAP Sustainability Control Tower, which is a steering and reporting cloud application, that helps our customers set their sustainability goals, and gather valuable insights on how to achieve them.
