What you`ll do:

As a Senior Developer /Development Expert (f/m/d) in our Last Mile Distribution (LMD) team, you’ll be part of an experienced and knowledgeable team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. We’re excited to welcome new colleagues and support them in becoming successful contributors to our mission.

The existing project is built using ABAP, RAP, Fiori Elements. We are incorporating AI functionalities (Joule and Agents) in this current solution. You’ll also collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.

Your responsibilities will span the full AI use‑case lifecycle—from refining user stories and designing AI functionalities to implementing them with a strong focus on AI quality, robustness, and compliance with our latest product standards for AI. You will design, implement, and validate AI models and services, ensuring proper testing, evaluation, and monitoring. In this role, you’ll contribute to a solution deeply integrated with Transport Management, S/4HANA, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), offering both significant technical challenges and rewarding opportunities.

What you bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, providing a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• Initial hands‑on experience in AI development, ideally with SAP AI Core, AI Business Services, Joule, BTP Data & Analytics, or comparable AI technologies.
• A strong affinity for Quality Engineering, including structured testing approaches, AI evaluation methods, and continuous improvement of model and system quality.
• Demonstrated security expertise, ensuring that solutions meet modern security and compliance standards.
• A proven track record as a full‑stack developer, backed by many years of hands‑on software engineering experience across the full development lifecycle.
• Excellent mentoring and coaching abilities, paired with a collaborative mindset. You inspire and empower others through clear communication, technical guidance, and a team‑first attitude.
• A target‑oriented working style that balances deep technical understanding with business priorities—always keeping customer value and impact at the forefront.
• A structured, organized approach to work, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and bring clarity both to your own tasks and to team-wide activities.
• A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in AI and software engineering.
