What you'll do
Your tasks include:

  • Own, create, prioritise and maintain the backlog, while shaping the roadmap together with Area Product Owner, engineering, and Product Manager
  • Act as a hands-on technical product owner who can drive product roadmap, priority coordination, product definition, implementation, and delivery lifecycle.
  • Explore, understand, and implement most recent technologies and approaches for cloud platform and data pipelines.
  • Makes decisions about in-house developments, purchases, or partnerships on product level.
  • Comfortably handle multi-tenant and multiple micro-services environments
  • Ensures product delivery:
    • Prioritises and describes the product backlog.
    • Ensures the delivery of high-quality specifications according to customer and user requirements, to create a competitive advantage for SAP.
    • Ensures the delivery of high-quality products under customer requirements, including the completion of expert tests and validation of the planned and implemented scope across the entire product lifecycle (including the product-related non-coded assets).
  • Works in close collaboration with other teams, such as release management, production, and governance.
  • Coordinates the gathering and integration of feedback from different stakeholders, especially from customers and product management.
  • Ensures the maintenance of the product up until a potential handover.
  • Contributes to efficiency, effectiveness, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work in global teams with different time zones.
  • Immerse yourself quickly into new topics, terminology, and development tasks.
  • Technologies – SAP BTP, Gen AI Domain, Being part of the Gen AI revolution, knowing about the conversational experience. Having an understanding of SAP Systems like SuccessFactors, S4.

What you bring
Educational and experience requirements
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
  • 7+ years of related professional experience in software development
  • Knowledge in Java/Springboot, microservice-based product design, architecture and development
  • At least 2 years of experience in product management
  • Experience with SAP BTP, having hands-on BTP experience, is a great value add. Demonstrable experience in managing AI or related technology projects.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A team-oriented and collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in team environments, contributing positively to shared goals and fostering a culture of cooperation and innovation.

Preferred

  • Passion for technology and interest in the domains of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud native services
  • Having very good domain expertise of Joule and similar digital assistants will be a plus.
  • Knowledge in bot-building platforms
  • Experience with Agents, Knowledge Graph, RAG, Large Language Models
