PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Digital Supply Chain Practice of SAP Australia & New Zealand is expanding by establishing a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Centre of Excellence (CoE), where we’re extending our high-performance team’s capability and capacity. The CoE’s purpose is to guide major customers through their journey to SAP Business Suite — with proven strategy, expert delivery, and scalable, lasting impact.

The successful candidate will be working on both this high-profile, strategic and transformational initiative and the broader Customer Success and Delivery area within the DSC Practice.

We are looking for a senior consultant with practical SAP Logistics, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and possible Field Logistics (FL) skills. The consultant needs to have in-depth end-to-end process knowledge across SAP Logistics paired with possible strong industry experience in mining, oil & gas, energy, utilities and other sectors.

Please note, Brisbane location is preferred, we can also consider Melbourne and Sydney applicants. Candidates must have a valid work permit to be employed in Australia.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As an SCM - Logistics, EWM and FL senior consultant, you will have an excellent understanding of the overall SAP LE, EWM and FL solution and how it is implemented in conjunction with other solution components of the S/4HANA Suite. A good understanding of the integration between different technology platforms and specific automation related to warehouse management processes is a must. In addition, a good understand, how remote logistics in the Oil&Gas and Mining industry work is favourable.

From an SCM CoE perspective you will be helping the customer to holistically understand their path from the “old” SCM world into the more advanced Business Suite world including AI. You will work alongside the account teams in the software evaluation process, to develop SAP-centric solution scenarios and needed architecture, prepare implementation plans and define outcomes that lead to overall customer success. You will build actionable roadmaps, support the creation of business cases, PoC, give architecture advise and deliver implementation support where needed. You will act as the conduit between customer and product management / engineering to prioritise product roadmaps with customer needs, run/support industry specific round tables and events for SCM and particularly around Logistics, EWM and FL.

Under the overall DSC Practice mandate, you will be involved in engagements to advise on, design, implement, deploy our solutions with the aim to enhance the client's business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. You will partner with the client and possible with 3rd parties to analyse and define business requirements, technology, processes, and objectives to scope project deliverables for the same but having the overall architecture in mind.

In addition, you will need to be able to work individually and as part of a high-performance team locally and globally, having SAP’s and customer’s success at heart. Your vast experience and your in-depth knowledge within the industry will make you the go-to person to provide though leadership advice to our colleagues/partners on end-to-end solution design, implementation challenges or deployment options.


Summary

SAP Australia New Zealand is looking for a Senior EWM Business Process Consultant with in depth end-to-end knowledge of Warehouse Management business processes and related SAP solutions to join our diverse team of professionals in the ANZ Supply Chain Management practice. You will need to be able to work individually and as part of a team to define the best use of the overall applications and processes specific to the SAP EWM solution for the customer. In addition, with your vast experience across industries you will support presales activities, develop and advise on end-to-end solution design, implement and configure the system, all the way to go live as well as post go live support.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • Proven professional experience working as a senior LE and EWM consultant.
  • FL knowledge and experience highly regarded.
  • Has gained extensive knowledge (8+ years) in SAP LE, EWM (embedded, standalone) and FL solutions, ideally covering at least 6+ full implementation life cycles.
  • Shows a proven deliver experience in projects that have included LE and EWM associated processes like,
    • Inbound
    • Outbound
    • Cross Docking
    • Yard Management
    • MFS
    • Internal Warehouse task such as stock take, bin to bin etc..
    • Different pick methods (light, voice, etc..)
    • HUM
    • Batch and serial number management within LE / EWM processes
  • Knowledge and some deliver experience in projects that have included Field Logistics (older version was called Remote Logistics Management (RLM)) associated processes like,
    • Supply Planning and Procurement
    • Container and Voyage Management
    • Outbound Process (Base to Remote)
    • Inbound Process (Remote Receiving)
    • Returns Process
  • Has a clear understanding and hands-on integration experience across other processes and solutions such as SD, MM, PP and TM.
  • Can conduct S/4HANA LE, EWM and FL centric workshops with all contributing parties.
  • Understands the business drivers and outcomes of a warehouse management solution in the correlated aspects of the different industries, such a consumer product, mining, utilities, pharmaceutical, etc..
  • Knowledge of industry trends in Supply Chain Management process and best practices (where applicable).
  • ABAP and screen (RF – Gun) development skills a plus.
  • Clear understanding of functional integration aspects with other SAP modules and solutions.
  • Associate Certification in the core area and a Professional certification will be an advantage.
  • Experience in end to end Business Process Solution Design.
  • Ability to represent SAP at customers while delivering on high volume and high-risk projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and business focus.
