SAP Solution Advisor Expert - Finance & Treasury - South

Salary:  $194,100 – $411,600 per annum

Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Location: This position can be located anywhere in the South, in the proximity of an SAP office.

We are seeking a Senior SAP Solution Advisor focused on Finance & Treasury to be the technical and solution-focused leader supporting strategic accounts through the full customer value journey (CVJ). You will partner closely with Account Directors and Account Executives to drive new sales, accelerate adoption, and ensure customers realize measurable financial value from SAP Finance and Treasury solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep finance and treasury domain expertise, strong SAP product knowledge (S/4HANA Finance, Treasury & Risk Management, Cash Management, Bank Communication Management, FSCM/Billing, BPC), and a proven ability to translate CFO- and Treasurer-level priorities into outcome-driven technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide deep, finance- and treasury-specific solution expertise to support new sales, adoption, and renewal conversations with strategic customers.

  • Support Stage F/D activities for ADs/AEs through tailored finance/treasury solution presentations, executive briefings, and events to identify and qualify new opportunities.

  • Evaluate accounts against finance/treasury qualification criteria (e.g., treasury maturity, cash complexity, FX exposure, payment volumes) to prioritize SA investment.

  • Rapidly establish thought leadership on account teams; shape account strategy focused on CFO / Treasurer value drivers (working capital, cash conversion, liquidity, risk mitigation, cost of banking).

  • Develop compelling themes and competitive differentiation (value wedges) tied to measurable finance outcomes (reduced DSO, improved forecast accuracy, lower bank fees, FX hedging effectiveness).

  • Perform business process capability and control gap analyses across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Cash & Liquidity Management, Payments, and Treasury operations; advise on target-state processes and controls (SOX compliance, auditability).

  • Build rapid prototypes and demo scenarios (cash position dashboards, cash forecasting, payment factory flows, bank reconciliation automations, FX exposure visualizations) with back-office support to prove value.

  • Define outcomes and value levers (e.g., days of cash freed, interest expense savings, automation rate, error reduction) to address customer business challenges and align technical solutions.

  • Execute rigorous dry runs for strategic finance/treasury deals and executive-level customer engagements; tailor messaging for CFOs, Treasurers, FP&A leads.

  • Effectively transition engagements to implementation partners / Field Services, ensuring requirements, controls, and target-state processes are preserved.

  • Continue to evangelize SAP Finance & Treasury capabilities after sale to drive adoption, expansion (e.g., Cash Management → Treasury → Payments Hub), and renewals.

  • Leverage digital assets (recorded demos, finance microsites, ROI calculators, content from the Global Digital Content Factory) across the engagement lifecycle.

  • Maintain accurate SAP system records for all customer-facing/support activities and contribute finance/treasury best practices to the global content hub.

  • Collaborate with Customer Advocates to blend adoption and experience feedback with deep solution expertise.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in finance/treasury roles or in solution advisory within large multinational software/IT organizations; demonstrable expertise in Finance & Treasury LoB.

  • Strong SAP product experience: S/4HANA Finance, Treasury & Risk Management, Cash Management, Bank Communication Management, FSCM, BPC, and related integrations.

  • Working knowledge of cloud/SaaS/PaaS delivery models and experience with S/4HANA Cloud or Private Cloud Edition implementations.

  • Hands-on understanding of payments, bank connectivity (SWIFT, ISO 20022), payment factories, cash forecasting, liquidity management, FX risk management, hedge accounting, bank fee optimization, and reconciliations.

  • Proven track record of creating pipeline and revenue growth through finance/treasury solution leadership and executive-level engagement.

Preferred skills and attributes

  • Professional finance/treasury qualification (CPA, CTP) or SAP certifications in Finance/Treasury.

  • Experience with large-scale finance transformations, shared service center modernization, and treasury center implementations.

  • Familiarity with ERP integrations, bank APIs, payment hubs, and financial data models.

  • Experience crafting ROI/value analyses, CFO‑level presentations, and measurable business case artifacts.

  • Exceptional storytelling and executive presentation skills tailored to CFOs and Treasurers.

  • Strong discovery and stakeholder management skills to surface CFO/Treasurer priorities and KPIs.

  • Energetic, persuasive communicator in live and virtual settings.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
