COMPANY DESCRIPTION
SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for an SAP S/4HANA Engineer (Basis) Expert who will manage the daily cloud operations of our Sovereign Cloud offering. You will work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications. You have strong technical knowledge of SAP systems and databases. Additional responsibilities include managing periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, and upgrades.


The role includes the following tasks:

  • Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize SAP S/4HANA systems for SAP Sovereign Cloud in Germany.
  • Setup of a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
  • Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
  • Continuous improvement of implementation documentation
  • Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the cloud operation processes

What you will bring

  • A minimum of 4 years of SAP experience with at least 2 years focus on SAP S/4HANA
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in implementation, upgrade and support of SAP S/4HANA systems
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field
  • Involved in planning and testing of the DR
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Implementation, upgrade and support of the latest SAP systems versions, running on Windows/Linux OS and HANA, etc.
  • A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and flexibility to work in shifts is required, ensuring consistent coverage and support. The role includes an attractive remuneration package for shift work and on-call duties
  • Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration

Optional

  • Good knowledge of AWS/Azure and GCP
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
