This position requires access to customer data; Must be a U.S. citizen. SAP NS2 does not offer Visa sponsorship for this role. All internals must have manager’s approval to transfer.

The Vice President, Applications & IT Services is accountable for the enterprise roadmap and operational excellence of SAP NS2’s internal business systems, cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, and modern workplace services. This leader ensures services are secure‑by‑design, high‑performing, and compliant, while continuously evolving capabilities to meet business outcomes and mission needs. The role stewards service reliability (SLA/SLO), drives automation and modernization, and orchestrates delivery across employees, contractors, and managed service providers (MSPs). This role will report to the SAP NS2 CIO.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage delivery of business systems and IT infrastructure aligned with NS2 business strategy and requirements
  • Work with senior leadership and other SAP NS2 stakeholders, including IT team members, security and technical staff and functional managers in support of the business systems
  • Oversee the portfolio of internal business systems (e.g., S4/HANA ERP/financials, HRIS, CRM, service desk, analytics) and emergent SAP technologies; drive integration via Business Technology Platform (BTP) middleware and data pipelines to enable end‑to‑end business processes.
  • Establish product roadmaps, intake/prioritization, and value realization metrics in partnership with functional leaders (Marketing, Sales, Legal, HR, Finance).
  • Lead delivery of modern workplace services (help desk, email, endpoint/device, server/network support) with a focus on reliability, user experience, and cost efficiency.
  • Institute ITIL v4‑aligned service management across incident, problem, change, request, and asset/CMDB accuracy; define SLAs/SLOs, error budgets, and operational KPIs
  • Embed secure SDLC and zero‑trust principles across platforms; partner tightly with Security on vulnerability management, identity governance, endpoint hardening, and data protection.
  • Ensure alignment with U.S. government frameworks (NIST 800‑53, FedRAMP, RMF) and enterprise risk management processes; lead audit readiness and corrective action plan
  • Work with technical and non-technical teams for efficient and effective resolution of business systems service issues and escalations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Willing to travel domestically 0-30%
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business Administration; 20+ years of technical experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • 10+ years of technical project/program management leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of business functions (Marketing, Sales, Legal, HR, Finance) and the systems that enable them.
  • Robust experience (10+ years) managing workloads across Azure, AWS, and other cloud service providers (including GovCloud where applicable).
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional, distributed teams and integrating delivery across multiple MSPs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present business and technical topics to executives, customers, peers, and staff.
  • High standards for work ethic and quality
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Requirements:

  • Expertise with Microsoft and Apple operating systems; enterprise endpoint management (Intune, JAMF), secure collaboration (M365 GCC/GCC High), and modern device lifecycle.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, and Agile/Scaled Agile (Scrum, SAFe) delivery practices.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800‑53 and related NIST guidance; ITIL v4 certification, PMP, or equivalent program leadership credentials.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 244700-553900USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
