Position Summary
The SuccessFactors Application Expert owns the end‑to‑end NS2 SuccessFactors solution and is accountable for its stability, optimization, and alignment with NS2’s business and compliance needs. This role provides architectural leadership across configuration, integrations, data, security, and support processes, ensuring SuccessFactors effectively supports HR, Talent, and related functions across all NS2 lines of business.
The expert partners closely with HR, IT, Security, and business stakeholders to standardize and document processes, enhance reporting and analytics, improve service delivery, and evolve the platform to leverage automation and AI in a secure, compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Optimization
- Provide full ownership of the NS2 SuccessFactors solution, ensuring ongoing stability, performance, and alignment with evolving business requirements.
- Engage directly with SAP to align current and future state platform with corporate vision/roadmap consistent with proxy agreement and compliance requirements
- Continuously assess and optimize configuration, workflows, and usage patterns to maximize value, user experience, and adoption.
- Develop and maintain a multi‑year roadmap for SuccessFactors capabilities, enhancements, and integrations in partnership with HR and IT leadership.
Process Standardization & Documentation
- Standardize and document key HR processes within SuccessFactors, including:
- Onboarding and offboarding
- User and role management
- Training and learning administration
- Reporting, analytics, and governance workflows
- Define clear RACI, process flows, and operating procedures to ensure consistency and repeatability across all NS2 lines of business.
- Ensure documentation remains current and accessible as configurations and business processes evolve.
Automation, AI & Service Delivery Improvements
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage automation and AI within the SuccessFactors ecosystem (e.g., intelligent workflows, automated notifications, data validation, insights) to streamline HR operations.
- Propose and implement service delivery improvements that reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and improve compliance.
- Partner with internal AI/automation teams where appropriate to safely integrate new capabilities into the HR technology stack.
Integrations, Security, Data Integrity & Compliance
- Own and maintain system integrations between SuccessFactors and adjacent systems (e.g., identity/IAM, ticketing, analytics, downstream access‑management systems), ensuring reliability and performance.
- Design and govern permissions, roles, and security models within SuccessFactors to protect sensitive HR data and meet NS2 security and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure high standards of data integrity and data quality, including controls for data validation, reconciliation, and lifecycle management.
- Enhance reporting and compliance capabilities across all lines of business by aligning data structures, access, and governance processes with audit and regulatory needs.
Support Model & User Experience
- Optimize the support model related to SuccessFactors to improve response times, resolution quality, and overall user experience.
- Define support tiers, escalation paths, SLAs, and knowledge base content to enable efficient support for employees, managers, and HR users.
- Monitor trends in support tickets and user feedback to drive improvements in configuration, training, and self‑service capabilities.
Data Architecture & Downstream Enablement
- Enhance the data architecture of SuccessFactors to better inform downstream systems and analytics, ensuring clarity on master data and source‑of‑truth definitions.
- Design data flows and integration patterns that:
- Accelerate system access provisioning and deprovisioning
- Improve data consistency across HR, security, finance, and operational systems
- Support robust reporting and workforce insights for leadership
- Collaborate with data, security, and downstream system owners to ensure SuccessFactors data is usable, trustworthy, and appropriately governed.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
- Serve as the primary technical and architectural point of contact for SuccessFactors with HR leadership, IT, Security, and business stakeholders.
- Lead and participate in governance forums related to HR technology, data, and process changes impacting SuccessFactors.
- Communicate clearly about design decisions, trade‑offs, risks, and timelines to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant hands‑on experience with SAP SuccessFactors in an architect, lead consultant, or senior configuration role.
- Demonstrated experience owning or leading complex HR systems, including configuration, integrations, security, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, data management, learning, performance, etc.) and how they map into SuccessFactors.
- Experience designing and supporting integrations between HR applications and enterprise systems (e.g., identity management, ticketing tools, analytics platforms).
- Proven ability to analyze data and processes, identify automation opportunities, and drive measurable service delivery improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with HR leaders, IT teams, and end users.
- US citizenship required; must be able to meet NS2 employment and background requirements.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 176300-374200USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
