Job Description
What you’ll bring
You have proven expertise in developing web-based user experiences and automation, with strong hands-on experience working with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the browser Document Object Model. A deep understanding of how web applications are structured and how to identify, interact with, and manipulate DOM elements is essential to creating reliable experiences that work seamlessly within existing applications. You’re able to use selectors, browser developer tools, and web automation techniques to troubleshoot application behavior and solve complex technical challenges. You also understand how user roles, behaviors, application states, and business processes influence the experience a user needs, allowing you to translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive, contextual solutions. Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders are central to how you approach your work.
What you’ll build
You’ll develop interactive overlays and in-application experiences that guide users through complex processes and help them successfully complete tasks within SAP and other web applications. Walkthroughs, tooltips, notifications, surveys, contextual guidance, workflow automation, and self-service resources are solutions you’ll build and configure to support onboarding, training, process changes, and ongoing adoption. You’ll use application elements, DOM selectors, JavaScript, and conditional logic to create experiences that respond to what users are doing and where they are within an application. You’ll tailor these experiences based on user roles, behaviors, application states, and business requirements, while testing across browsers, applications, and scenarios to ensure they function as intended. You’ll also troubleshoot and maintain published experiences as underlying applications evolve and contribute reusable components, development standards, naming conventions, and governance practices that support consistent implementation at scale.
Where you belong
You’ll work onsite at our customer in Chantilly, A and take ownership of the technical experiences that sit directly on top of the applications employees use to perform their work. You’ll work closely with product, design, business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts to understand application workflows, identify points of friction, and turn those needs into effective in-application experiences. Your work will sit at the intersection of web development, automation, user experience, and digital adoption, giving you the opportunity to solve technical challenges while directly improving how people learn and interact with enterprise applications. If you enjoy understanding how applications work beneath the surface and using that knowledge to create smarter, more intuitive user experiences, this role offers that combination of technical depth and user impact.
