SAP NS2 DevOps / Network Engineer - Remote

This position requires access to customer data. Must be a U.S. citizen; SAP NS2 does not offer Visa sponsorships for this role. All internals must have manager’s approval to transfer.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP National Security Services (NS2) DevOps / Network Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. As an NS2 DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in provisioning, operating and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, and driving efficiency in our systems. This position demands a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for automation and cloud technologies across multiple Cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cloud Provisioning:

Deploy, configure, and maintain SAP NS2 solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Automate the provisioning process to accelerate deployment cycles and minimize manual intervention.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to provision necessary resources for testing and release processes.

  1. Operations and Optimization:

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.

Implement continuous monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve operational issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for resource allocation, load balancing, and cost optimization.

Strong networking skills and ability to analyze packet captures

Join an on call rotation.

  1. Security and Compliance:

Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures for cloud environments.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cloud security.

Regularly audit and update security policies and access controls.

  1. Automation and Tooling:

Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

Implement CI/CD pipelines for code deployment, configuration management, and version control.

Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and technologies to enhance the overall development and deployment process.

  1. Collaboration and Documentation:

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators.

Create comprehensive documentation for provisioning processes, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years of Cloud support
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with SAP HANA and SAP Cloud Platform services.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Previous experience in government or defense-related projects.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 120800 - 205200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
